As he flies by I catch his neck and slam him to the ground. As the other rogue jumps again on my back, I finish the first rogue off by clawing his stomach; his intestines pour out. He can’t survive that attack and is quickly dying.

I said as I took another step forward. “Interesting. And what would that trade be?” the Rogue asked. “You know what I want,” I replied, knowing he had my bother. “It cannot be done,” the Rogue replied. “Then I cannot come with you,” I said, as another gunshot rang out, catching Carson in the other arm.

An act that would only create more risk for them. Rogue babies are normally either killed or left for dead. A rogue life is a dangerous one. It's either kill or be killed. As a rogue, you can't afford to attract attention to yourself. Doing so could cost you your life. So the fact that they decided to take care of me shows how tainted a rogue's reputation really is.

I asked quietly, pulling up a stool beside him. "Several possibilities." he said, his finger tracing one of the tunnel routes on the map. "One, the rogue population has grown bolder and is actively hunting pack wolves. Two, there's been a collapse in one of the outer tunnels and they're trapped somewhere, maybe dying slowly in the dark. Three, someone from within the pack lured them out and left them for the rogues as a gesture of appeasement or alliance." I didn't like the sound of any of those options, but I understood his thinking. "Which are you betting on?"

Chapter 13. Darren's POV. I was pissed that I got interrupted by my nephew, and it was for a matter I didn't want to talk about and wasn't ready yet. They all wanted to talk about Laura, and her status as a rogue, the rules I made years ago, came hit me in the gut, I remembered saying there would be no exemption of any kind when dealing with rogues, yet I had a rogue mate and word passed around that I've been keeping a rogue without doing anything.

“Thank you for joining us here today to discuss the issues of the recent rogue attacks,” Tyler says. “Are Grim Ire and Crescent Star not joining us?” Alpha Richard asks. “Both packs declined our invitation,” Tyler informs them. He opens the laptop that sat on the table in front of him. With a few clicks, a report shows up on the display screen along the wall opposite where Tyler and I currently sit. “These are the statistics of the most recent rogue attacks on Moonfang. We have not been able to connect the attacks to a certain group of rogues, nor have we been able to determine if there is a mastermind behind them or not,” Tyler explains.

This was because each time he killed one, he was assured that their was one less rogue in the world and it gave him peace. “Huh!? But you can't do that without taking her to the council court to be tried, maybe she hasn't killed anyone or…what if she is an innocent rogue?” Levi asked worriedly making Silas eyes to flare up. “An innocent rogue?, this is my first time hearing such an absurd thing as that” Silas strode up from the chair he was sitting on, his purple eyes blazing red. His fists were clenched and blood flowing down from where he had pierced himself with his claws which were popping out.
