Vivian shot him a look of pure loathing as she descended the stairs. Hearing the noise, Johnny turned around. Seeing Vivian, he stood up with a sleazy grin and walked toward her. I was so tired that when I woke up, the sun was already setting. Daley was sitting on the couch waiting for me. With a glass of wine in one hand, he looked out the French window at the city, as if in deep thought. "I think we should talk." I sat across from him. My gaze meets Dashiell's blank ones, and I shake my head, silently pleading with him to fight back and not get caught in the trap they have set for him. It's a little strange, though. Dashiell isn't the type to walk into traps and stay trapped, unless he just doesn't want to make his way out of it. Is he refusing to fight back because there's something bothering him? Does he perhaps feel guilty?
