I opened the book and started reading. I don't really know why I bought this book, I just wanted to share my thoughts with something. I'm not really good at sharing things to people so why not a book. But now that my best friend sister approached me last night, she told me she likes me. No girl has ever told me that before. All the girls I knew only likes my face and what I'm capable of doing. You may be wondering why I go around sleeping around. I couldn't really find a girl that likes me me, I thought I could never be honestly liked by someone.

I replied, shaking his hand briefly before pulling it back, a tingle left in its place. “So, Kalia, what’s so captivating in that book of yours that you almost missed the best coffee in town?” He nodded toward my cup. I tilted my head, considering him. “You are assuming I don’t already know that this place has the best coffee.” He raised an eyebrow. “Fair enough. But now I’m curious about the book.” I held it up, the cover facing him. “It’s a mystery novel. Keeps me on my toes.” He leaned in slightly, intrigued. “A mystery, huh? So, you like solving puzzles?”

It was really absurd everytime u think about my life as it is now - which was almost every second - so absurd that I'd have laughed if I wasn't the victim of the whole craziness. First I get rejected. Then I have sex with my gay best friend. Then I find out he's not gay, but a spy from another pack. Then he goes ahead to tell me he loves me and proposes to me. Madness. Total madness, honestly. Dear goddess, what next? What would come out next to mock me and the joke I've obviously become to the universe? “No matter how hard you tug, the dress won't get lower than that” Jax said with a slight chuckle and I glared at him.

His rich brown slanted eyes and finely chiseled jaws accentuated his facial contour and it took me a while to realize that the man was none other than my best friend. "Gerald?" Surprise flared in my whisper as I recoiled out of his arms. He was back in the pack? Oh! He must have come to celebrate with me but look at who is celebrating with a view of her cheating fiance. He gave me a sympathetic look and then whispered. "Let's just leave, Beth." Tears burned the corner of my eyes, blurring my vision as I turned away from him. No, I couldn't. If I tried to make it past the lobby, I would just collapse. This was too much for me.
