She would never make it even a mile. Alan Woods drew up his horse and held his fist up to halt his men. They’d ridden all morning, searching endless trails, tracking hoofprints to no avail. All were dead ends. He slid from the saddle and strode forward to view the disturbance in the soil. Kneeling, he touched the faint hoofprints and the flattened grass to the side. It looked as though someone took a fall from a horse. Recently. He scanned the immediate area and saw a footprint in a patch of bare soil a few feet away, then lifted his gaze toward the area the person had headed. Slowly he rose, drew his sword, and motioned for his men to spread out and circle the area.

"Stay away from her, Kael!" Kael ignored him. He was ten feet from Tess now. "Father's books spoke of it. He thought it was a fairy tale. Kayla's Pov: So let me tell you a little about myself: For as long as I can remember I have been alone, it has its benefits but mostly it can be so dam lonely, do not get me wrong I love living in the woods I feel so free, and I'm not one of them horses that are so proud of them self although I know I am something worth looking at, but Sadler that is not a good thing as it mean I attract so much attention to myself which I do not need or want. I do sometimes miss being with other horses as I often see wild mustangs passing by, but life goes by and as soon as I turn 17, I am meant to find my mate! I have no idea on what to do the only other shifters around here are werewolves, the pack 'midn

She wasn’t scared. Hesitantly Laura walked up to her knelt beside her leaving a respectful space between them enough not to startle her. She told the child. “I didn’t expect to see you here” Silence. Silver eyes stared at Laura. The girl slowly closed the book slowly and oddly tilted her head in an odd way. Old soul. Laura noted. Laura glanced at the book“Tale of Moon-born wolves”. “I loved that book, especially the one about the wolf who talked to the stars.” Laura whispered

But how could she even know the story if the book is not completed? "Maybe because she is the writer of the story", my subconscious mind called out. And of course, the idea was utterly bizarre, but then again this is exactly why it's called subconscious. A part of the brain which can never be realistic or logical. Sighing, I kept the book back in my bag and went over to the wildlife section. After finally screening the whole shelf for a few minutes, I finally got the one I was looking for. 'Wonders of The Wolf.' A chronological documentary on the lupus species.

As I took small bites of my meal, my mind wandered back to the book's descriptions. When breakfast was finally over, I excused myself politely and headed back to the garden. I retrieved the book from its hiding place and found a secluded spot where I could read in peace. The more I read, the more I realized how much had been lost to history. The white wolves were not the monsters they had been made out to be. They were beings of incredible power and kindness, who had only sought to live in harmony with others.
