How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

Why wasn’t I more excited about it? I could make light and I could start a fire. And I could heal! Those three things made survival in the wilderness, even a fantasy wilderness, possible. Of course, anyone can live off the land, that’s what we were designed to do, but if you’ve ever watched one of those TV shows where they teach you how to start a fire with twigs, it should be clear that not only is it very tricky, it’s also incredibly tedious.

The Alpha's Half-Breed Mate

The Alpha's Half-Breed Mate

In the gaps, I shoved in small branches and leaves. For warmth, I used the thick fox fur I had been lucky to find a few weeks into my hike through the wilderness. The dead fox had taken its last breath and I had received something warm to cover me partially and some food to feed me for a few days. It was almost negligible, but I survived. Had I tried going into the human concentrated areas? I had. And then I heard rumors about the White Claw Pack putting a bounty on my head. I quickly went back into the safety of the forest… never to emerge.

Choices And Desires- 5 Age-Gap MM Forbidden Romances

Choices And Desires- 5 Age-Gap MM Forbidden Romances

It is what it is, and our beasts will just have to make the tight space work. Ivanov makes three more rapid trips into the deep brush to secure heavy logs while I scramble around the clearing gathering dried oak leaves and tiny twigs for kindling. My fingers dive into the survival kit to grab the primitive magnesium fire starter, and a massive sigh of relief leaves my lips when I see the iron striker blade is still securely attached to the cord. Otherwise, this entire wilderness setup would have been completely useless to our survival. To be completely honest, freezing to death on a dark peak would have been the ultimate icing on this disaster cake.

Forbidden Love: The Alpha Rejected Luna Second Chance

Forbidden Love: The Alpha Rejected Luna Second Chance

"You know how to survive. Use what you learned." In the darkest moments of my captivity, when it seemed that hope was a fantasy, I had stayed sane by clinging to things my father had taught me to survive in the world from which he had, in the eyes of society, been exiled. How to locate water, how to recognize edible plants, how to read the forest and tell whether it harbors danger or opportunity.

Lyla flashed Lucas a sweet smile. The Wilderness was surprisingly enormous. Not all the animals in it were infected with the zombie virus. There were still many animals that had not been infected. Needless to say, those animals were a source of food for the organizations the humans had established in the Wilderness. The birds in the sky, the livestock on land, the sea creatures in the ocean, and the crabs in the river which had their shells were removed. They could be deep-fried, stir-fried, and cooked in all sorts of ways.

I genuinely love this book, only problems I have with it is the fact that he never actually travels with the people he gets to join him (hattie Mia etc) I wish there were more interaction between them all. second is that there are only 2 or so chapters a day....I have plenty of coins to waste...

I believe no updates is due to the platform not the authors themselves. Many of the books I’m reading are not updated as well. It is possible the authors are not able to upload their chapters on the platform

Bound by blood and moonlight

Bound by blood and moonlight

"The forest tells stories if you know how to read it." The hunting party spread out around us but Kaelen seemed content to take his time. He pointed out signs I would have missed on my own. Scratches on tree bark where animals marked territory, broken branches that indicated recent passage, the way certain plants grew thicker near water sources. "Why are you teaching me this?" I asked after we had been riding for over an hour. "Because you should know how to survive if you're ever out here alone." His tone was matter of fact. "The castle isn't safe right now. I've made that clear. But the wilderness has its own dangers and you should understand them."

Scorned Princess Returns With The Supreme Alpha's Triplets

Scorned Princess Returns With The Supreme Alpha's Triplets

EVE’s POV I thought being kicked out of Redhood was the most traumatizing moment of my life, but surviving in the wilderness topped everything. I’d been wandering through the woods for days, moving in circles, my throat burning relentlessly at the unavailability of water. My dress kept sliding off my arm with each step I took. Fatigue burned deep in my bones, a silent plea for my body to slow down and rest—but this was rouge territory. If I sat down for a minute, I wouldn’t last a few hours.

Rejected By The Alpha, Crowned The Rogue Queen

Rejected By The Alpha, Crowned The Rogue Queen

The forest became my world, a shifting maze of trees and shadows where I learned what it meant to survive. I drank from cold streams, stole warmth from abandoned dens, and ate what I could trap or forage. My wolf, weakened by rejection, stirred sluggishly inside me, but she was there. We leaned on each other the way wounded things do. She lent me strength when my body failed and I gave her hope when despair crept close. Days blurred into nights. I learned to hide my scent, rolling in river mud, masking it with crushed herbs and wild mint. I learned the ways of rogues: how to move without leaving prints, how to listen for danger in the spaces between silence.

Shadowed Heir: A Luna's Rebellion

Shadowed Heir: A Luna's Rebellion

"But it's worth it. The Whispering Woods have protected magical folk for centuries." They moved in practiced silence, following game trails and creek beds that wouldn't show their passage. The rescued survivors adapted quickly, their months of enforced stealth in detention serving them well in actual wilderness survival. By dawn, they'd covered fifteen miles and reached their first cached supply depot—one of dozens Kane had established over the previous weeks. The hidden provisions allowed them to travel light while maintaining the strength needed for the journey ahead. "Any word from the other groups?" Mira asked as they rested in a concealed ravine.
