INTO THE WILDERNESS: The Journey

INTO THE WILDERNESS: The Journey

But it was as if everything had been erased from my mind, leaving only the last twenty-four hours, which had been nothing but a nightmare. The two were all full an hour later, and the two men's conversation had died away. I was still deep in thought, but as I snuggled into a thick blanket, I gradually felt my body relax. My experience here in the wilderness can be frightening, but it also provides opportunities to personally experience wilderness. In a rapidly urbanizing world, understanding the benefits of interacting with nature is critical for maintaining and improving well-being. In the back of my mind, the little girl's words kept ringing.

Rise of the Supreme One

Rise of the Supreme One

“Survival sounds more badass. I am a survivor on a survival journey.” “I should write a book on my experiences in the wild. It could be called, Kalen’s five-day survival through CreepyWillow Forest.” Kalen thoughts just keep imagining things as he continues his survival walk. He always knew that he was an avid thinker, and his brain was renowned for his unconventional imaginations. “That’s it. Man come on. This is the typical behavior of a clueless person not on a survival walk. Kalen could feel himself doubting his decisions, but he conveniently tried to ignore these thoughts completely.

The Apocalypse Hoarder

The Apocalypse Hoarder

A paper book rested in his hands while multiple surveillance feeds played silently across the large screen before him, displaying views of both the interior and exterior of the bunker. After the Frostfall, without the burden of work, his life settled into a steady rhythm. He had grown fond of reading. Some books had come from the library. Others had belonged to Severin. The one in his hands now was "Ordinary World" by Lucas Wayworth. Reading it in this era carried a strange weight. The ordinary days described in its pages were gone forever. The ordinary world itself now lay buried beneath endless ice and snow. Yet one thing remained unchanged. Human beings, resilient by nature, would struggl

TAMING THE LOST WOLF.

TAMING THE LOST WOLF.

Why can't I seem to escape thoughts of her? The woods grow darker in the setting sun, but that is no problem for a wolf. For a human on the other hand, the woods are as dark as midnight in a moonless night. Though Crimson Hills remains one of the safest places for both werewolves and humans alike, the woods are often crawling with wild animals. A new scent wafts to my nostrils with the wind. Blood. Though faint, the smell is right there next to the combination that says Wilda to me. I need to find her fast.

Blood War: The Awakening Book 1

Blood War: The Awakening Book 1

Scratching the back of my neck, my cheeks reddened as I looked away from Al's naked torso, "W.I.K.D is closing in on us, they set camps at night, move fast during the day," I swallowed hard, "And how do you know this?" Amber inquired, she didn't even try to hide her bitter tone, I thought long and hard, realizing I didn't get her name and she did mention not to tell my friends about us ever meeting, I wish to honor that request, she did save my life, twice, "I— I was out catching my breath when I pick up a scent.... blood, so I— followed it... They have humans as some kind of prisoners, doing bloodletting to lure us in. And—" I paused,

Escaping The World: Lost in Book (book 1)

Escaping The World: Lost in Book (book 1)

I dump my bag on the floor and read through the shelf while pulling books out and mumble as I go. ‘Even a book can be dangerous in the wrong hands.’ ‘Ignite.’ ‘Hell is empty and all the devils are here.’ ‘You’ll make bad choices. Sometimes you’ll choose the best of bad ones.’ ‘Tuesday is Fucked.’ ‘Everything’s a game. And now it’s your turn.’ I have a stack of about 10 books before I abruptly stop. "Next isle." I say and we walk up and down the library isles. I climb and jump to get books off of shelves and Aidan has to catch me a couple of times when I fell.

Really enjoyable, sweet stories where real emotional connections are made between people looking & finding love & physical connections; some by those who are aware they need it & by some of those who may not quite acknowledge that need. Very imaginative & sincere, and hot. Thanks for great stories!

Wind Chill

Wind Chill

The force of gravity in the room seemed to suddenly increase, threatening to drag her to the floor. Get over it. You knew damn well this was going to happen. Just . . . move on. She looked over her shoulder to finally take in the rest of the space. Her father’s bed lay inside one of the corners, the mattress a size too small for a man of his height and covered with the same camo blanket that rested on her own. A large bookcase lined one wall, its contents a hodgepodge of classic and paranoid—“Survivalist,” Emma corrected herself—literature. She scanned the titles. Finding Tom Sawyer and The Anarchist’s Cookbook resting beside each other conjured demented scenes of the scamp lobbing improvise

A Banished Alpha

Hydra growled even more aggressively at the idea of betraying him, we won’t go rogue whilst we remain undetected in White Forest lands. Luckily there were more than enough abandoned lodges and residences from the wars of previous years. When I'd been stuck such as during particularly vicious winters Sarah-Clare, a maid servant who had looked after me and Bram growing up had helped with supplies. I didn't like to rely on her too much though.

Loved this book! I know I am kind of reading them backwards. I started with Betas Prize and Lunas Assassin then realized they were part of a series and began to read this one. I have not yet read an Alle book I didn’t get sucked into. Helena’s & Alexander’s story is exciting, beautiful and intense

Read this after finishing part three (the betas prize) of the series. This book gives a different view on some of the characters. Good to know how they start and how they got to where they are. The author is strong in story lines and characters. Definitely worth the read!
