Wren’s POV I wasn't just bonded to three Alpha wolves anymore. Now I had also dropped all three of them for the new LakeDale transfer who had been at this school for four days. For some reason, I felt like the creek was where I should be, like something in my gut was pulling me there. Once I reached the creek, I stayed in the woods closest to the village. I opened the well-worn pages of my stolen book. The scent of the paper called out to my soul and enveloped me. I had only read a few pages before my eyelids became heavy. I tried to fight against them, but they won. I was slipping into darkness when I caught a wisp of the aroma from earlier. I couldn’t even try to look up for the source before I was completely buried in the darkness, and sleep consumed me.

I knock on the damn thing and there's a hollow sound coming from inside. "How the fuck does he open this thing?" I touch every part of the wall until I feel something out of the ordinary. I push it and hold my breath. Please let it open. The almost realistic wooden magazine moves to the right, then I see a drawer inside. I press the small button next to it and the drawer moves to the left. Holy fuck. I chuckle. Haiden freaking Blackwood. A genius cunning wolf in the flesh. Two Frost-moon pack werewolf books are placed inside. What surprises me though, is the small book placed between them. I immediately notice it's yellow cover, something closer to gold. It must have been gold but worn out

“Mommy, please. Just one word?” Hudson knelt in the dirt, smoothing Madison’s hair. He knew he couldn't hide the truth from the girl. “Madison, your mother’s wolf is very tired. A bad person used a trick to make her spirit go to sleep for a while. She knows you’re her pup, but she’s lost her voice in the woods. You have to be her guide now, okay?” Madison sniffled, nodding bravely.
