The fragile peace, painstakingly rebuilt after the internal strife, was shattered by a chilling discovery. During a routine patrol near the Whisperwind Glade, a young Duskwood wolf, Elara, stumbled upon a series of ancient, rune-covered stones, half-buried in the earth. It’s not where anyone wishes to know anyway but it is called Deep-Woods because it is a thick forest with trees in it. If you wander in it, you can get lost. We are not too deep in the forest though. As soon as you escape from here and walk some distance, you will be on the streets in no time,” the boy explained to her and Amber slowly nodded.

Stavros’s POV The car sped along the highway that took me through the boreal forest, high Alpine, and rolling tundra until we reached a desolate village. I knew the place since I had come here before. It was the Wild Wain Village, the territory of the Wind Wolves. The place was cold, desolate, and uninhabitable, submerged in darkness because the clouds hanging low completely blocked the pale rays of the Midnight sun.

Heart of the Living Woods ••• The forest stirred around Aella as she stepped cautiously into the deeper reaches of Hollow Glen. Moonfire glinted softly off the moss covered stones, casting pale silvers and blues across the twisted roots and towering trunks. Every sound, the snap of a twig, the rustle of leaves, the distant cry of a nocturnal creature seemed amplified, resonating as if the forest itself were listening.

POV: Mia (Zero) The Wildlands began where the maps stopped telling the truth. There were no border stones, no trails worn by trade or migration, just thickets of blackroot and elderpine, bent beneath generations of storms, and the bones of wolves whose names had long been taken by the wind.
