I mouthed back, which earned me the bird from her. I turned back in my seat and stared out the window. Truly though what really was that electric feeling, and no it wasn’t a shocking feeling like the one where you push your wet finger into a socket, but it was that chilling feeling that make goosebumps cloud your skin, and that feeling felt alien, but in a good way. When Isabella saw a man, who is looking like a Greek god step out from behind his hiding spot, she gasped with surprise and shock. Blaze didn't stop near the shore, but his feet carried him deeper into the lake and closer to where she is standing. Isabella is so mesmerized, that she didn't notice him coming closer to her until he is just an inch away from her naked body. She could feel the heat coming off of his naked torso. She gasped when his huge palm came out of the water and lightly caressed her cheek. "Hmm" she took a quick breath at that foreign sensation. Goosebumps erupted on her exposed skin.

“The reports suggested that the dark force may be trying to manipulate our fears. We cannot let it get into our heads.” As they continued their patrol, a low growl echoed through the trees, sending a chill down Blair’s spine. The sound was primal, filled with a sense of foreboding. “Did you hear that?” she whispered, her heart pounding. Jayce nodded, his expression serious. “We should investigate. Stay alert.” The growl grew louder, accompanied by rustling leaves and snapping twigs. The tension in the air was palpable as they moved closer to the source of the sound. Blair felt her heart race, a mix of fear and adrenaline coursing through her veins.

The sound does not feel like fear. It feels older. Stronger. Blake freezes. Tristan’s expression tightens. Beyond the archive walls, something moved. A distant thud. Then another. Bodies hitting the ground. The reaction spreads outward through the estate like a wave. I couldn’t see it , but I could feel it through the bond. Wolves outside began to drop to their knees. Submitting. “Tricia,” Blake says slowly. There is something new in his voice. Shock. My breathing turned uneven as the scream fades, but the energy inside me does not. It builds.

I would've taken the time to appreciate the movie reference if I wasn't so terrified. Goosebumps covered every inch of my skin. I wanted to scream but nothing left my lips. I gulped. I looked down at the bathtub full of blood, at least that was what it seemed. There was something poking out slightly out of the water. With shaky hands, I reached out and dipped my hand in the water. Feeling something hard in it, I grasped it and pulled it out only to throw it back into the water while I stumbled backwards due to fright.

Chapter 131: Knee Time On tremulous legs, Shasta made her way into the living room. The ticking of the clock on the mantle echoed like the report of gunfire in the stillness of the cabin. Blake was nowhere to be seen. Still damp from her shower, she felt chilled by the evening air. Goosebumps covered her bare flesh, and her nipples were tight points, but whether that was from the cool evening or from nerves, she couldn't say.

“What's going on?” “I think you guys should clear out.” Lucy rose from her crouch and motioned for us to leave. “Let me handle this, okay?” I stayed put for a moment, but it was clear that our presence was making Blair very frightened. She looked on the verge of passing out again, so I grunted in assent and followed Blake out of the bathroom, shutting the door behind me. “She was very lucky you came along.” Blake stood, arms crossed watching the shut door. He had a troubled look on his face. “But what in god’s name is a vamp doing in these parts? They usually stick to their area over at Mead.”

The cool breeze washed over me, making my body tingle beautifully. Then, suddenly, I wasn’t alone. Blake was right in front of me, bathed in moonlight. His eyes gleamed as he stretched his hand out to me. “Come with me,” he said. I didn’t say anything. His hand stayed outstretched while he waited for me to make up my mind. But before I could move or even say anything, I felt shadows surrounding me. The trees seemed to grow taller and darker, and soon their branches were turning into claws.

The only sounds were the wind that brushed against my already shivering skin, along with the faint sounds of heartbeats I could hear. Just then, The hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I got goosebumps. The one familiar goosebumps I felt before, I whipped my gaze left and right instantly. "What's wrong Tessa?" Gabe asked, following the direction I was looking. "I can feel it, Gabe. Tell the warriors to stay vigilant. I can feel it." "But I didn't feel anything," He said, frowning as he looked up. "I’ll keep an eye on the sky; they typically come from this direction."

Then I lift my head to look around me and notice claw prints on a tree. Snapping photos, I feel like something is off. The hell? Am I being watched? My hairs on the back stand more to attention than before as a shiver runs through my bones that are almost numb from the freezing cold. Why did I swap California sunshine for freezing cold Anchorage? Insane! I hear a noise, the rustling of leaves. Someone or something is here. I am not alone right now. “This isn’t just a wolf. This is something else.” Then I see him, Blake. Shirtless. AGAIN! What the hell is it with this man and no clothes? It’s freezing cold. He strides towards me like an animal stalking its prey.
