After all the chaos nearly an hour earlier, it was obvious Thorne had questions. “I want you both to relax and not hide anything from me,” Thorne said, opening the conversation. Selina could already tell where this was going. Staying at the event after Lyra’s death had been suffocating. His voice lowered. “Tell me you weren’t involved.” Her silence was answer enough. “Elara.” His voice carried something colder this time. “You’re playing a dangerous game.”

I could hear Ethan try to pacify her but Leah was upset and there was no calming her down at that moment. "If you just listen to me then you'd have a sister to fight for. Riley is going back to New York! We are at L and T hotels, you both get yourselves down here instead of scolding me or we all deal with her reckless decision." I hung up. I try to take it out but it is stuck. I twist it and tug at it again a bit strongly than necessary. It comes out and goes fly out of my hand. Great. I am already finished with my work so I get down from the ladder and look for the book. I see black colored something under the chair and bend down to see if that is the book. I take it out to see what secrets this book holds that Rudra had to put it away like this.
