I wouldn't let that happen now. My whole body morphed into my vampire self. My eyes turned into a bright glowing red colour. My canines sharpened and my nails grew longer. I whipped my head towards Maya one last time to make sure she was safe before bolting down with the sole purpose to attack that damn creature. The wind rushed through me, my feet dug on the dirt as I was skillfully making my way through the thick trees. His pestering odour grew stronger and stronger meaning I was getting closer.

"How did you know?" I was suddenly cognizant with his gaze and the rest of the CEOs around me. It was maybe just my imagination, but there was thick tension permeating the air afterwards. "Well, uh, Lady Tara and Lady Sierra told me," I explained. "They are both werewolf healers." Elvira's wide smile returned. She patted Axel's shoulder before saying, "See? She's well-informed than you thought."

Two women in one of the hallways moved aside with malicious glares when Ode grunted. Their faces were pale and I wondered if they were vampires. We passed another woman who had been at the dinner the night before. Energy rolled off her in waves. It made me realize the glaring ladies were human because they carried no power that I could feel. Blood donors? The vampire nodded but didn’t speak. We reached our destination. “Tara,” Talon said in his whispered low voice, his back to me.

I wait until she is away from the door and quietly move behind her. "I told you to leave" I say, clearly scaring her as she jumps at the sudden noise. she stares wide eyed as my vampire side has come out fully. " why didn't you leave?" I ask her getting angry that she's so damn stubborn. I step toward her "what is your name?" I ask her "T, Tansia" she stutters as I keep getting closer, her name is amazing, everything about her is so breathtaking, so much so that when I step right up to her I can't control the primal urges anymore.

Ahead of her will be much more challenging as she would be heading back to the vampire community to honor the deal. She won’t even fancy some welcoming there as the animosity between the human and the vampire races was still clear to see. She just hope that Marcus would honor the end of their deal.
