Mine. “Mate.” I said, with a voice of longing. Willow’s hair started floating like an unseen force was causing it to rise. Hot air was flowing from her, and I felt like the final piece to my puzzle was about to be placed. Following her instinct, Willow held her palms up to meet mine, her entire body ignited like a torch. Blood red flames mixed with no other colors as it surrounded her. Her fire burned like mine. It was as if heaven and hell opened up and poured power down onto us. Our flames intertwine around each other like a cyclone. Blue and red were blending, turning so hard and fast that everyone around us was nothing but a blur.

It wasn't one of the usual men that Gregory often occupied the diner with. She stared at him for a brief moment before breaking eye contact. A feeling of sudden doom flooded her heart. Her hands shook, and she steadied them quickly before returning to the diner kitchen to place the order. Willow watched the men from afar,in between their chattering, Gregory and the new guest stole glances at Willow. Willow being an orphan from a young age was very street smart ,she could smell trouble from mile away and today every fibre in her body was telling her to leave the diner. She really wanted to listen to her instinct but the rent was over due and Gregory Greens generous tip would solve her problem

It’d taken a lot of effort to keep my smile up and help his sorry ass. Willow is lying out by the pool, reading a book when I approach her. In my pocket, my phone is on standby, set to record. “Hi Willow,” I smile, sitting down next to her. “What are you reading?” “Oh, hi Rowan. It’s one of the recommended reading materials for our creative writing class. Are you done with Aiden?” “Yes.” I bring my face close to hers. “He kept talking about how he can’t wait to take you out to Paris.”

Then he goes to kiss my cheeks and then finally my neck. “Now, you should eat so that you can get well soon and we can work on your big appetite for me.” He freaking winks at me suggestively. I don't say anything. I just blush. So typical of Willow. That's the real Willow, not the confident one who shamelessly asks for a kiss.

She was retelling the story I read to her last night. I watched her from the doorway. As she continued, her lips began to tremble. Upon seeing this, I walked to her side and sat down. "What's wrong?" I asked. Willow put the book aside and hugged my waist. "I didn't know what to say this morning when I was talking to the mirror, so I wanted to read because the book would have lots of things I could say. But as soon as I opened the book, I realized I can't read!"

Aiden said, "She's so buried in those texts that even my voice can barely reach her. She's really focused on this now and I'd hate to ruin her groove." "Don't worry, that's why I'm here." The memory of past attacks lingered like a shadow over their steps. As I helped a young mother lift a beam into place, I noticed Willow observing from the nearby fence, her small form bouncing with impatience. She was learning quickly, picking up the subtleties of pack life, of village survival, without even realizing it. Her curiosity was unrelenting, her energy a bright light in a world that often felt gray.

Willow loved it because it was a small table and chairs tucked into its own corner, surrounded by high backed walls on both sides. She had felt bad for lying to her grandmother earlier. She wasn't here to get a new book but rather read the one Loriann had given her. The leather diary had been burning a hole in her bag for days now. Gently, she placed the book on the table in front of her and stared at it, as if it would burst into flames at the first touch. Opening the cover, she began to read, devouring the history of the Red Hoods and one Weyland Brochade in particular.

“Why did you leave and not tell me? Have I done something to offend you, Posey? You know…how I act around you… what I say to you sometimes… it’s just who I am, and it doesn’t mean anything.” “I know.” “Then what’s going on?” Her nostrils flare, but she looks down at her lap, her blush creeping down her neck. “Willow has a list, you know. (Willow's POV) We just moved in from New Jersey to Virginia and I'm not quite liking my new house. I begged my mum to let me stay with my friends but she insisted I come with her until I'm able to find myself a job and a house. Still in bed and in my pajamas, I looked around my room trying to think of how I'm gonna unpack all these boxes. Oh hey! I'm Willow. I'm a lazy person when it comes to anything physical or academic.
