The curtains still swayed slightly from the open window, letting in the faint chill of dawn. I crossed the room slowly, each step heavier than the last. Whatever book I was looking for, I knew that when I found it, I would know it. “Where is your mother?” I asked as I picked dusty books one after the other. “She is gone.” His voice dropped as he dropped a book he was holding. “Sorry about that,” I mumbled, loud enough for him to hear. “Her name was Rosalie,” he chuckled and walked past me to pick another book. But I still finished it anyway; despite my initial belief that I can’t get pass through 50k words. And here I am, finishing a book with a whopping 70 chapters and more than a hundred thousand words! I had to sit down on the bar stool at the island and wipe the tears from my eyes. My little Willow is my peaceful baby. She likes to sit outside, in the yard, and study the flowers. When she memorizes one, she nods and another one or up to ten more will appear. I love watching how much she loves nature. Wild animals will walk up to her and nuzzle her, making her giggle. It’s so sweet to watch her love for plants and animals flourish. I can only hope that she keeps that throughout her life.

As I put one of my feet inside of the warm and welcoming water filled with the petals of the beloved and most beautiful rose. I sometimes wonder why it has so much love being given to it. I also wonder why a rose just steals my heart every time I look at it--it's just so magnificent. Is it because of the color that it possesses or because of the way it possesses the frail heart of mine? So melted in my thoughts that I was, I didn't realize that I had to get out of the bath to get ready.
