Wolfbane
I sprinted north, eager to explore the forested area beyond our pack territory.
As I ran, I dodged oak, maple, and birch trees, taking in my surroundings and breathing in the wintery scents of frozen dirt, frosted pine, and chimney smoke. The skies were gray, and the branches of the trees were bare as the snowfall intensified. Around three miles outside the border, I came to a huge boulder blocking my path, forcing me to pause my run for a second. I dug my claws into the dirt and sprinted around it, desperate to get further and further away and give in completely to my animal. That was when I realized that this was a bad idea.
