Wesley stepped in front of me and glared at Sean. However, Sean sneered and decided to make things worse. “Wendy, after you break up with me, who else will want a used woman like you? If you apologize and beg me, I might take you back,” he said in front of everyone. For a moment, everyone was watching us. I felt like I was being humiliated. Then, without a word, Wesley clenched his fist and gave Sean a punch.

* Zeina * The palace loomed like a monument to everything I had lost. Its obsidian spires scraped the bruised sky, draped in the ghost-light of a reluctant dawn. The wind carried the scent of scorched stone and frostbitten roses. I rode my black BMW through the charred gates alone, no banners raised, no trumpets sounding. The iron portcullis lifted without fanfare, the guards bowed low, but none dared speak. My silence had become its own command, a mantle heavier than any crown.

Like the truth was just out of my reach, and they had no intention of letting me touch it. I stopped by one of the tall windows, frost clinging to the glass, and stared out at the palace grounds. Winter had stripped the trees bare, their branches scratching against the sky like they wanted to claw it open. The wind howled against the stone, deep and mournful, and for a moment it felt like the whole world was grieving something I couldn’t name.

She was silent for a moment, staring at the clock which showed one in the morning, smelling the scent of rain from the gust of wind went into her room. The window was still moving like a mental hospital prisoner going berserk. She got up and walked slowly towards the window. With both hands pulling the window inwards so that it would no longer move wildly, she sighed in annoyance when she saw that the window lock latch had been damaged by the strong gust of wind. She turned to the dressing table near her bed, then let go of the handle, letting the window move wildly again.

Of course, she is a hybrid; she has the power of both her parents. We fly closer to the palace and hover with every powerful flap of our wings. More fire is directed at the palace. More pikes and large boulders are thrown at us. We fly higher out of range. We pick up speed and freefall backwards, our wings wrapped around us as we torpedo towards the palace. The wind and smoke twirling around us as we open our wings again, pushing more flames out as parts of the palace crumble and explode under the intensity of the heat.

" She asked, ignoring Peter's joke. Just listen. "Stop running, everyone, and listen." He asked everyone to stand wherever they were. They all gasped, looking at each other and wondering what they were to do in such a situation. The wind was howling, carrying everything away. The papers rusted as they were carried all over the palace. Glasses clattered, spoons jingled, and cups broke as they knocked against each other. Karen was controlling the wind at a dangerous speed. The wind blew the fire around her, and they all watched as the fire came towards them, its furious tongue seething and threatening to consume everyone alive.

Cold wind whistled, and freezing snow fell. Andrius walked for an unknown amount of time before finally arriving at his destination. What surprised him slightly was that within this deep mountain, a palace stood amidst the steep peaks. The plaque bore one word—Immemoria. Immemoria Palace! It towered majestically, full of vigor. It was red and white, adorned with vermilion lacquer and white jade pillars. Mythical beasts guarded the entrance on both sides, vividly carved with different expressions and postures. It was truly remarkable.

After a few minutes of driving out of the palace region, we entered the first-pack city that was directly at the edge of the palace landmark. The Palace division was an ancient one that was established thousands of years ago. This city, Wind Winders, was the first city that was established alongside the palace and has been since there. This was my first time entering the city, and what I was seeing was very pleasing to the eyes. It was bustling with activities and crowded to the brim with foreigners. It was so lively and had lots of things to do and see. This city was the epitome of beauty. It was a center of attraction for all supernatural beings, including humans.
