Wings Of Fire Hivewing Novels & Stories

Of course, she is a hybrid; she has the power of both her parents. We fly closer to the palace and hover with every powerful flap of our wings. More fire is directed at the palace. More pikes and large boulders are thrown at us. We fly higher out of range. We pick up speed and freefall backwards, our wings wrapped around us as we torpedo towards the palace. The wind and smoke twirling around us as we open our wings again, pushing more flames out as parts of the palace crumble and explode under the intensity of the heat.

- Are we going to fly? “No,” Vic barked and pulled the wing out of the girl’s fingers, dark spots remained on a few scales that still fell under the sun’s rays. “How harmful you are,” the girl was not at all offended and again switched to his ears. — It's interesting. Kim Won has never flown either. And you have to try. “If Vic moves a little more and finds himself in the sun, then his wings will disappear,” the guy said quickly and again brought the sword to the sarsh.

They stretched wide behind him, crackling with heat so intense the air rippled. Rowan stared, frozen. Kai swore under his breath. “Those aren’t fire wings. They’re something else.” Mistara stepped forward slowly. “Those are the markings of the Unbound Flame. A form that should not exist.” Rowan forced her legs to keep moving. “Azeriel listen to me. You can control this.” “I can’t,” he whispered, voice breaking. “It hurts.” One of the wings twisted violently, sending a streak of dark flame toward the sky. The summit trembled again. The fire from his body rose higher, pulling, swirling, trying to break free of everything holding it down.

And this time, she would ensure that anyone who had burned her wings would burn with her in the fires of her revenge. END OF CHAPTER 32..

A large pair of wings made from fire had sprouted from his back sometime in the clutter and he was flapping them wildly. With every flap he spread air to the already raging fire below him. The ice shards melted instantly under the extreme heat. “His wings, go for the wings!” Raphael shouted, and he was right. I instantly forged a staff from ice and sent it hurtling through the air towards his wings. I thought because it was made of more ice than the shards it would withstand, but It melted before it even reached his wings.

As the witch drew in breath, the flits floated away from Rori, and as they passed further from her, Rori could hear the sound of fading screams. Rori shoved her hands above her head and lifted her toes to a ballet point before she spun around four times as quickly as she could. The action halted whatever spell Mina seemed to have on the flits and as the witch sucked further, the flits released Murdok’s flame and the wall of dragon fire sailed through the air, blasting Mina in the face. The sudden rush of powerful flames caused Mina to scream in pain and as she tried to cover her burning face, she felt the flames dig into her arm like a rabid dog.//

He looked at me with eyes full of terror—the look of a man who knew he had failed. “The West Wing is a furnace, ma'am!” a firefighter shouted, his voice muffled by his mask. “The fire started in the crawlspace—it went up like tinder! We can’t get a team inside yet!” I looked up. The West Wing. The stone was blackened, and orange flames were licking out of the windows like greedy tongues. That was Finn’s wing. He was supposed to be napping. I left him sleeping. “Finn!” I screamed, the sound tearing my throat raw. I tried to run toward the heat, toward the screaming orange light, but a pair of strong arms caught me around the waist.

Not natural. Not contained. Devastating. A dragon. Massive. Winged. Burning like the sun itself decided to take form and descend. My men don’t even have time to scream. The fire hits them. Consumes them. Erases them. Gone. I move. Fast. Barely avoiding the second wave. Heat slams into me anyway. Burning. Tearing. I land hard. Roll. Come up on one knee. Breathing heavier than I should be.

I nodded and swallowed hard. “Now retrieve your wings, honey.” “What wings? I have wings!” My eyes nearly popped out of each socket. My heart pounded so hard in my rib cage, and I instantly felt the air pulsing around us. I didn’t want to look behind me over my shoulder. I was scared for it to be true. “You’re not helping, Sebastien,” Zarah said cautiously. “Not wings like physical wings. They’re glowing, like 3D lights, the same as when you summoned the fire, but yes, you have wings,” Ren tried to explain but I completely understood what he meant.

I pushed Cat toward the open door of the SUV, my body shielding hers as we ran. More shots. Closer this time. One caught the vehicle's side mirror, shattering it. "Rooftop positions, suppress that fire!" Declan's voice was sharp in my ear. The return fire was immediate and devastating. The incoming threat scattered, their shots going wild as they dove for cover. I shoved Cat into the vehicle and threw myself in after her, slamming the door shut just as the driver hit the accelerator. The SUV lurched forward, tires squealing as we peeled away from the Galleria.
