It faded to black. He jolted out of bed, they were gone. He looked around, he was in his own room. It was a dream, only it wasn't, subconsciously it was his memory. a fraction of what happened that night. He was sweating, his heart pounded faster, harder. He could never have agreed to something like that. He was assaulted. His hands were shaking. He was assaulted and he can't prove it.

Why would he do this to us? I don’t know how I get home. It’s as if I left my body and my brain took over. The house is quiet. The only sound you can hear is the echo of my feet. Shoulders slumped with dejection, I walk to my room, lie on my bed, and cry. At some point, I must have fallen asleep because suddenly, I’m not in my room. I’m lying on a bed of grass in the dream, and Mikhail is leaning over me. Beautiful wings protrude from his back, and his eyes are glowing. I shift closer, not breaking eye contact, and whisper the words that he always says to me. “Mikhail, my angel. Sodales Semper.” At those words, my vision dims, and I fall into a deeper sleep.
