When His Wings Unfold Over Her Azel kissed her collarbone with a tenderness that felt almost unreal like centuries of longing were finally allowed to breathe. Each kiss was slow. Precise. Meant. Jason asks, A frown appears on his face before he answers sarcastically, “Is there any other meaning of wings? They are huge. So huge, that they touch the floor.” Closing my eyes, I picture my wings, just like Nyx taught me. Seconds later, I feel their weight behind. His surprised gasp fills the room, making me open my eyes. I stare at him and, with my voice trembling, I ask, "You mean wings like these?” His mouth hangs open as he nods. “Yes,” he whispers, his eyes still wide with shock. “They are exactly the same. The only difference is that hers are black.” Fucking hell. That’s the only thought that was on my mind as I registered his words.

I can't change the color, but I like the dark shimmery blue of my wings. I can shape it into spikes sharp-edged appendages to hurt and maim. And a trick I know is that I can separate my wings from my back temporarily. It hurts a little, but the stunts I can do by doing so are worth it. Like scaring Mike. He seriously thought my wings came off when I first tried this trick. His expression was priceless. Also, they're bulletproof. Not actually, but when the wings and bullet meet, the bullet is in for a surprise. Not to mention, somebody as klutz as me can use two extra hands, which my wings are more than willing to meet as a requirement.
