Switching Scores

Switching Scores

The mock exam just finished. A beggar outside the school gate pointed right at me and said, "Zero points." I laughed. "The score for the top scorer in the college entrance exam always shows up as zero. Thanks for the blessing, I guess." The beggar gave me a meaningful look. "The top scorer in the college entrance exam will be your best friend. You'll actually get zero points." I just laughed. There was no way the school's top student would get zero points. As I was about to walk off, he pointed at my bracelet. "Score-Switching Bracelet. When she hands in a blank paper, you'll get zero points." I was taken aback. My bestie did give me this matching bracelet recently. I thought it would be a pain to wear because it would be uncomfortable when I write, but she insisted I put it on. I tried taking it off a few times but couldn't. Recently, my grades had indeed slipped, while my bestie's scores had consistently ranked first three times in a row... "What should I do then?" "Transfer it to a close family member. They can bear the misfortune for you." The beggar pointed at the boy coming to pick me up. "Like him." I turned around. Standing not far away, waiting for me, was my childhood friend.

Breaking the Bond That Broke Me

Breaking the Bond That Broke Me

I gave everything to save my fated mate, Alpha Austen. I even lost our pups. Twice. But he gave all the credit to his adoptive sister, Seraphina. He called me weak. Useless. He always chose her tears over my scars. He even stood by as her poison shattered my wolf spirit. As I lay dying, I watched him hold my killer and whisper, “I know it wasn’t your fault. This was her fate.” Then I opened my eyes. And I was back. Back before it all went wrong. This time, I’m done explaining. Done sacrificing. Right in front of him, I disguised a potion that would sever our mate bond as a "blessing elixir" and held it to his lips. “My love,” I said, “drink this. It’ll help you comfort your poor little sister.” He drank it without a second thought. In thirty days, under the Blood Moon, our mate bond will be severed for good. But only when I was truly gone did he finally regret it. He knelt before me, again and again, calling himself my fated mate. Begging me to take him back.

Only When I Died Did He Go Insane

Only When I Died Did He Go Insane

It had been ten years, and Ethan—my mate—and I still didn’t have a pup. One day, he suggested we adopt one from the Werewolf Orphan Charity Agency. “My mate,” he said gently, “pregnancy is too hard for you. You’d have to go through so many checkups and herbs. Your wolf shouldn’t have to suffer like that.” When others heard this, they all said Ethan loved me deeply—that he couldn’t bear to see me in pain. But I saw the truth with my own eyes. He took an infant pup from another she-wolf. “Luckily, Mia isn’t pregnant,” he said. “That way, the excuse of adopting an infant works—and the pup can have a legitimate status in my clan.” I knew that she-wolf well. The same one Ethan used to call a “stupid omega.” Swallowing the bitterness in my heart, I called my mentor at the Werewolf Research Academy. “I want to devote myself to herb research,” I said calmly. Three days from now, during the pup’s first New Moon blessing, I’ll fake my death in a fire. No one will be able to stop me.

Taming The CEO's Son: A Marriage of Inconvenience

Taming The CEO's Son: A Marriage of Inconvenience

Marry the playboy son of her boss for ten million dollars? Leia thought the choice would have been easy. After all, her mother was dying and the money would have helped with the treatment. It became her heart on the line, and those two years of contracted marriage seemed like a world away. Women were all the same. Gold Diggers. So that was exactly how Christian would treat Leia - After all, she married him for money. Not having liked her from the start, Christian agreed with his father's plans; It was much easier than learning to trust again. He'd learned the hard way that women only wanted one thing and it was never him, just the dollar signs he was worth. So he's lived behind an arrogant and charming demeanour, thinking it was the only way to survive. It was why Leia hated him right back. Then their worlds collided, and they learned neither was how they perceived the other to be. It was no longer only Leia's heart on the line, but Christian's too. Will this be a marriage of inconvenience or a blessing in disguise?

I don’t usually like these kinds of arranged marriage/CEO playboy books, but the writing so far has been good and engaging. With only 9 chapters up so far, I’m hopeful the rest will be just as good. Maybe I’ll go read some of her other books while I wait for this one to binge

The synopsis made me curious and it's even better than I thought. They're both so attracted to each other, it's sizeling hot! It made me laugh too and I understand her feelings and mindset. Very well written, looking forward. Christian having everything from Tom Ford is sexy btw.

Dead on His First Love's Death Anniversary

Dead on His First Love's Death Anniversary

On my birthday, Connor Simpson's first love jumped off a building due to depression. She died on the spot. Connor blamed everything on me. I never celebrated my birthday again after she died. After the murderer electrocuted me for more than ten hours, they forced me to call Connor. "Connor, it's my 25th birthday today. Can you come over and spend time with me?" However, Connor did not notice anything unusual. His voice was laced with venomous iciness. "Clarisse Winter, Audrey wouldn't have died if it weren't for you. How dare you ask me to celebrate your birthday? If only you were the one who died." I heard him coaxing a woman on the other end just before he hung up on me. That low and gentle tone was what I loved to hear the most in the past. That night, the murderer cut my body into countless pieces, packed them in bags, and threw them in front of the police station. Connor was summoned back overnight. He spent two days and two nights piecing together the body parts, but he did not realize that the dead person was the wife that he hated the most.

Monster Hunter

Monster Hunter

Ãbyssål Démøn Immørtål
Who said the weak can’t become strong? Even without powers I can become the most powerful. The Hunter race had existed for several millennia working both in the shadows and in the light protecting humanity from creatures that aren’t from this world, at the age of seven every child in the Hunter race would visit the Hunter god’s temple and receive his blessing in the form of a supernatural ability. Amongst the Hunters were different kinds of people with different types of abilities but one this was common amongst all of them and that was the colour of their eyes, they were all green. Marcus Fault on the other hand was born with icy blue eyes which made majority of the Hunters view him in a different light and from the moment he was born, his life was in danger and each day was like walking on the edge of the abyss, one slip off and he would fall never to return. When he was seventh birthday just like the tradition he was to head to the Hunter god temple to receive his blessings, his talent was first tested and stunning everyone present as he was tested to have legendary talent but unfortunately he wasn’t blessed by the Hunter god and thus the first powerless Hunter was born. RR this note is to you to prove my ownership of this book.

Hello I love your book, but for the past week I am not able to get Chapters 49, 50, 51 even though I get an alert that they are available. I thought it had to do with the app, but I get updates from the 3 other books that I am reading without any issues. I think there is a glitch on your end. Thanks

Bride of the Blood Moon

To end a twenty–year war, she must marry the monster who made her people bleed. To survive him, she’ll have to become something worse. Princess Maris Corvin of Aradal has spent her life blessing soldiers in a holy war against the werewolves of Tharros. When a fragile peace is finally brokered, the price is her hand—and her freedom. Something ancient and hungry stirs beneath the ravaged border known as the Wound, and it is feeding on their hatred. With fanatics in her homeland calling for her death and Rhael’s own people divided over their human queen, Maris must decide where her loyalty truly lies. Because if she and Rhael cannot learn to trust the bond that ties them together, the next war won’t just burn their kingdoms. It will wake the Red Warden—and devour them all.
