Jaxson carried all the bags without me even asking, and paid for everything with his card. "Can we go to the arcade now?" Lily asked, tugging on his jacket the second we loaded everything into the trunk. "Not today," he said, crouching down to her level. "I got something better." "Better than the arcade?" Lily asked, puzzled. "Way better. You'll see." He drove us across town to a big building with a glowing sign out front, ICE RINK written in blue letters across the top. Lily's whole face lit up the second she saw it through the window.

He pulled the ice out of her, removing his hand. Cara looked up in time to see him put the piece of ice in his mouth, rolling it around on his tongue as he tasted her on it. The sight of that undid her and she felt her floodgates open down below. Xavier moved his leg away from hers and used his free hand to pull down her underwear. Once that was done, he tossed the soaked material to the floor and retrieved another two more pieces of ice from her glass. He brought his hand back up along her legs, her thighs and finally cupped her trimmed mound with it. At first all Cara could feel was the warmth of his hand, until he maneuvered the ice up against her lips again, parting them, grazing the col

He ordered a bottle of their most expensive wine and took his seat opposite Phoenix, who though seated, was shaking her body to the booming music. From the place where they were seated, Phoenix had a vantage view of the entry point to the club bar and the boisterous crowd dancing wildly in the lower section. She watched with excitement as the man and lady tracking her stepped into the club and walked over to the bar section. After the drink was served, Phoenix requested ice and an ice pick knife. "To friendship and love," Dex raised his wine glass towards Phoenix. "To pain and death," Phoenix clinked her wine glass with his and chuckled at Dex's perplexed expression. She emptied the content

my mother said. “Hey mom, guess what” “What is it, Sunshyne?” “Last night some of the pack members went to Jax club, they said that it was this stripper name I-Candy, who was dancing there, they said that she was getting buck wild with quite a few men” “What a shame what people will do, just to get money, those types seem so desperate that they are willing to do anything. It is like they are selling themselves so short, but hey it's their life”

I say as Ice places his hand on my shoulder. “Give her time, boss man. She will come round. We all think Foxy needs to be banished keeping her around is not looking good for you. I can feel something is about to go down if you keep that bitch around. Anyway we found something on the cameras from the store.” He says, I need a clear head and I know he is right about Foxy but she is dangerous, she knows too much about this club so in good conscience I can’t let her leave permanently. Ice hands me the phone and I swipe through images. “What am I looking at, Ice? I’m tired and need sleep.” I say and he rolls his eyes at me as he swipes and hands me it back.

Music pulsed through Summer Club, shaking the walls with every heavy beat. Colored lights swept across the crowded dance floor. Laughter, conversations, jamming of can drinks and cocktail cups blended into one endless celebration. Leon sat at a quiet table near the edge of the room, lazily swirling the last sip of his drink. He wasn't drunk exactly, but the few cups Sabastian had talked him into drinking had left his body pleasantly warm. Even his mind was far less guarded than usual.

She walked to the fridge, pulling out a bottle of water, but stopped when her phone buzzed on the counter. Her stomach tightened instantly. Unknown number. She hesitated before opening the message. You’re stepping into territory you don’t understand. Last warning. Her pulse spiked. She stared at the screen, her thumb hovering over the keyboard. Anger rose faster than fear. She typed quickly. Then explain it. The reply came almost immediately. Ask your Ice King. He knows the rules better than anyone. The message thread disappeared seconds later. Deleted. Her heart pounded against her ribs as she stared at the blank screen.

FLASHBACK “I’m the Swan Princess. Yayy!” Five year old Sofia twirled on the ice holding her dress like Disney princesses do in cartoons. “You’re not the Swan Princess, Aubrey Sinclair is," said a little boy. “She’s whatever she says she is. If she says she's the Swan Princess, then she is the Swan Princess." Sean jumped into his sister's defense. “Get off the ice Sofia, you're interrupting your brother's practice.” Their mother approached them and pulled Sofia off the rink.

"Can I ask a practical question? If Maya goes back to January 15th, how does she survive the freeze? The whole point was she wasn't prepared then. She'd be trapped in the apocalypse with no shelter." "Future Maya said the device brings you back after twenty-four hours," Maya said. "You'd have to survive one day of the freeze, then you return to present." "Survive how? Where?" Maya realized she didn't know. Future Maya hadn't specified. "I'd have to secure shelter quickly. Maybe One World Trade Center itself—it survived the freeze." "So the plan is: go back, find Victor, kill him, then hide in his building for twenty-four hours hoping you don't freeze to death." Jessica's voice was flat. "Tha
