Stay with me. I will help you get her back. I promise,’ I say to her. She bursts into tears and hugs my leg crying. She glanced back at them, stroking one side, the same way I used to when I had my wings. Tears pricked against my lashes, but I shook them away. It was no use crying over something I couldn't change. A few of the men remained on the ground, not transitioning to dragons, for they were to deal with the English mages and stop them from continuing to curse the weapons the knights used. They used old and powerful magic that could quickly kill a dragon, and that was the only way the pathetic English were any match for the dragon-shifters. The English had a few shifters themselves, but none of them were dragons, and only a few could fly. There was a phoenix and a griffin among them, but Ian had injured the griffin hours before, and Valen had destroyed the phoenix. It would rise again, but not during this battle.

She cursed that her curiosity had gotten her noticed. The dragon blinked a final time and averted its eyes somewhere else as if it had heard her whisp

Everyone ohhs and awws over them excitedly. “Oh, ladies, you’ve outdone yourselves! Since Cayd is standing with me, his wolves end up running in and around my dragons.

He was shirtless, but at least he had shorts on. Nick threw Drago a pair of camo shorts, and he quickly slipped them on. “Surrounded by dragons,” she smiled in amazement. Madchen couldn’t find any words, instead she stared, mouth agape. They were magnificent, all of them, and she couldn’t tear her eyes away.

Did The All Mother truly visit me in my sleep? What did her words mean? And why did I feel that way when I was looking at the wolf and dragon?
