I stepped a bit closer, but Crystal didn’t turn to look at me.
She was burning with rage inside..
I liked that about her.
“We got the numbers,” I said, keeping my tone even as I leaned against the wall. “Two hundred wariors, and twenty scouts.”
She said nothing at first. Just stood there, jaw clenched. Then, with a breath, she turned to me, and I saw it in her eyes. That fury hadn’t cooled. If anything, it had grown sharper.
“And you think that’s enough to take down a pack harboring a direwolf and the most skilled Alpha in the Werewolf world?” she snapped. “You think two hundred borrowed soldiers can stand against that?”
