Like I had known them my whole life. Slowly, I stepped forward. My heart pounded hard in my chest as I lifted my hand. My fingers shook as I reached out and touched the runes—one by one—in the order that felt right: Wolf Goddess. Wolfville Realm Mark. Alpha’s Claw. The runes went still. Silent. The arguing behind me stopped all at once. I heard Isadora gasp in panic. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" she shouted, rushing toward me. She grabbed my shirt and yanked me back, stepping in front of the runes with wide, panicked eyes. All the color had drained from her face.

She had just gotten her high-level Witches badge from the Witches Coven Center in the Greatest Human Empire; Namian Empire. At that time the annual meeting of the Interracial Race was held there. All high-level Witches were required to attend, it was the first time for Myan Witches. There the werewolf race is headed by the descendants of the Olun family which are 5 Alpha people. One of them is a dark brown haired Alpha; Darien.

“Hahahaha! “Human brat, you even dare come here to run rampant with your little cultivation base? “Give the little girl to me, and I’ll bestow you a name in the Undying Clan.” Alex ignored it. Instead, he observed the black runes at the entrance. Although the runes’ appearance was a little strange, they were still ancient runes. Moreover, they were the ancient space runes... This was a principle of undergoing myriads of changes while remaining the same as its origin. There was only one type of ancient runes. Hence, they were universal and the same as what Alex had learned from the Crazy Crone. Given some time, he would be able to decipher them. ‘Right!’

They lay, whimpering, on the cold, damp ground, their crimson colored eyes rolled back in their sockets and froth foaming from their mouths. Merlin flicked her wrists and from out of nowhere, a low wind, whistled through the trees, moving closer to the flame-haired witch. Gathering momentum, the whistling rose steadily in pitch, as the gale came shrieking through the woods before surrounding Merlin. Her hair and clothes whipped around her and her eyes glowed green as her magical aura, grew and pulsated around her. Another flick of her wrists and the bodies of the injured werewolves were whisked away deep into the woods.

Why did I-? “Rose!” Rune’s body shielded her from the wolves who were already closer than she thought. As he held her to his back, he snapped at the wolves. “One more step and I will feed you to the silver sharks.” One of the wolves spoke to Rose’s surprise. “Alpha Rune? Oh. No. No.” The masculine voice jeered. “You are just Rune. The fucking rogue.” Bitterness filled that voice and it made Rose curious. She peeked a little and saw that the wolves were now in human forms, the wrappers around their waist barely hiding their schlongs from those that wished to view.

one of the alphas remarked, his voice filled with a disturbing mixture of desire, hunger, and loathing. "What are you doing here?" another alpha demanded, but I stood frozen, unable to utter a single word. I wondered how fate had led me to the territory of these powerful alphas, knowing full well the deep-rooted enmity between witches and werewolves. The urge to run surged within me, but I remembered the brown-haired witch's warning not to run, no matter the circumstances. Reluctantly, I forced myself to remain motionless.

Cutter nodded along on behalf of all of them. “So… I analyzed the runes compared to the Gaelic ones first, since that was the language Raphael had used. But there was no match, nothing decipherable. I used every example of runes I could to try to see if any language would give me a hint as to what I was looking at. Finally, I decided to think about what Nana Sue had said, so I pulled up the Hebrew Aleph-bet.” “Aleph-bet?” Rider asked. “Were the ancient Hebrews all really bad spellers.”

They'd stolen it from Rosalie's coven, and it was one of the many reasons they cast her out. Cadence and Rachel gasped when they saw the spell, because it was in a language they'd never seen before. "Theban, the Runes of Honorius," Sonja murmured, reading their confusion. "Why?" Rachel asked. "The spell is very old, older than Emme, and back then, Theban was the preferred alphabet for transcribing spells. And to prevent something like this from happening, the scribes never translated the spell to any of the modern languages. Old witches firmly believe that once something is locked away, nothing and no one should bring it back."

Bill stood up, bowed like a refined gentleman, and departed. I sprawled out on the floor, striking an inviting pose for a moment until he was gone, then sat up to focus on the ancient book. I had memorized how to read the Runes exactly as Bill had shown me. I had mastered the alphabet and practiced enough to understand its contents clearly. It spoke of the origins of witchcraft, as well as spells for attack, defense, and healing. On page 128, there was a spell to turn blood into an explosive that could be triggered at any moment.
