*Soleil* "Here". Gudrun hands me a small drawstring bag made from rabbit fur. "I made it for you". Carefully I open it, pulling out a white piece of fabric. It is a rune cloth like the one Gudrun has. I look at her with surprise. "Is this for me ?" She nods, looking very excited. "You need one for Your runes… you need to make them first though". Then she starts teaching me about the 24 different runes, all taken from the old Nordic alphabet the futhark. How they are separated in 3 different houses and what the different ones represent.

"Full name and date of birth, if you please." Sebastian turned toward Seraphina. "Mind giving me a hand?" Seraphina froze. How would I know your birth details? A gentle nudge urged her forward. "Only if you're comfortable, darling." Pushing down her irritation, she made something up on the spot. The Witch glanced at the handwriting, and her expression shifted-like she'd just seen straight into Seraphina's soul. After some theatrical gazing into crystals and dramatic rune tossing, she made her declaration. Each represented a virtue: *Courage, Compassion, Wisdom, Hope, Mercy, Sacrifice, Love.* Finally... an eighth rune blazed brighter than all the others: *Harmony.* Aiden instinctively stepped backward as the rune pulsed, almost as though recognizing him. "No..." he whispered. "I'm just... a kid." The Moon Goddess smiled. "I know."

I have no intention of falling in love with anyone, least of all a witch!” He spat in anger and stared daggers at the woman who had started to weep softly.

My mind rushed through all the runes I could remember. I could only see a little of the run on Vince’s arm, but it was distinct enough that I should be able to narrow it down. The rune on Vince’s looked to be circular at the very bottom, but there was a clef at the bottom that reminded me of a sickle.
