PUCK ME, GENTLY
A brown jacket hangs loose over his frame, a few buttons of his shirt undone, revealing a trace of dark ink curling from his chest up to his neck.
My pulse kicks. I can feel my heartbeat in my throat, in my palms, everywhere.
His head tilts slightly. Brown hair, dark eyes, a neatly shaved beard framing lips that part into a ridiculously good-looking smile.
“Jordan,” he says, in a hoarse voice. “Reid’s Beta.”
I snap my mouth shut, the surprise already curdling into irritation.
“...And?”
He pushes off the wall, moving with a controlled, lazy power that makes me instinctively take a half-step back.
