Like she already knew exactly where he was.
A red wolf. Kieran hadn't seen one in his lifetime. Most people hadn't. They appeared in old texts, in pack history records, in the kind of legends elders told children. They were supposed to represent something ancient and rare, a wolf tied directly to the bloodmoon lineage.
He filed that away and kept his face neutral.
Vulcan's wolf was already shifted beside her. Enormous, the way Dak always was, silver-coated and built like something that had no natural predators, his paws alone twice the size of the red wolf's. He stood completely still, watching her.
