Blake turns back and runs to the back of the house and makes his way into the forest behind it in the dark, following the howling to locate the correct direction. ******* “Grrrr…” looking at the three last wolves surrounding him, Mark growls loudly. He once again leaps forward, attempting to dig his teeth into the neck of one of the wolves. But then he feels someone attacking him from behind. Before he has the time to dodge the attack, he feels a stinging sensation on his back. He moves his body hurriedly in an attempt to shake the pest off him. When he finally throws it off, it flies away and hits the trunk of a tree heavily. “Grrr…”, Mark immediately chances upon the fallen wolf and rips i

“They have nothing to do with your damn Order.” A mocking laugh left the wolf’s throat. “Nothing to do with the Order? You betrayed the Order, Marek. You defected. You sided with their pack. You sided with him.” He flicked his gaze briefly to Kael. “And with her.” His eyes slid toward Violet with clear disgust. “A witch who dares to touch power she doesn’t understand.” Marek said nothing. Didn’t give him the satisfaction. “To see you like this now…” the wolf continued, stepping closer, voice dripping with cruel amusement, “is rather poetic, don’t you think? The fallen Alpha, hanging like a farm animal in his own filth.”

I look up into the mirror, catch a glimpse of my mate mark sitting proudly on my shoulder, and sigh as I run my fingers over my mark. I start with the image of Nathan's Black Wolf Xaiden standing protectively next to the image of Alice, moving over to the image of Elijah's Black Wolf Xavier standing protectively on the other side and then finally over the image of Cole's Black Wolf Xander who is standing protectively over top of Alice... Sometimes when I look at my mates in my mark, I wonder if the order of where they stand would have been different if I had been marked in a different order. Alice then growls at me,

he breathed, grasping his Alpha’s arm and turning it to study the intricate design pulsing with otherworldly light. Magnus gazed down at the mark—taking in every detail with a newfound sense of awe. The intertwined hearts, adorned with Celtic knots that symbolized eternal love, throbbed in time with his own heartbeat. A subtle curved line—resembling a bite mark—connected the hearts, representing the intimate bond between mates. Within the design, a small, minimalist representation of a wolf’s head or a pair of wolf’s eyes was discreetly integrated, signifying the werewolf mate who had bestowed this gift upon him.

It had just forged me into something stronger. I was no longer the girl with no wolf. I was the Alpha’s Shadow. And for the first time in ten years, I wasn't afraid of the dark. I looked at the mark on my hand. It was no longer a raw wound or a black brand. It had turned into a shimmering, silver scar in the shape of a howling wolf, surrounded by a crown of thorns. It was a mark of trust, a mark of betrayal, and a mark of a love that had literally walked through hell and come back stronger.

I confusingly spoke out. "No, he's....different?" She replies back irritated, yet hiding something. I felt a shiver down my spine. "I marked him two days ago.. and he re-marked me the same day.." her voice slowly trails off. "He is an alpha? Yeah?" I said, cheerfully smiling and nodding. My thick latin accent coming out. "Wolves are suppose to die within a few weeks of being unmarked, let alone a few months!" I told her and grabbed her soft and trembling chin.

“When you are in a pack like mine and you have a mate, his mark is supposed to be on you. That way you are not easy prey to vulgar wolves.” “Vulgar Wolves?” I was still confused. “Vulgar wolves are wolves that as mateless in our pack. They are usually horny especially with the full moon approaching. Beautiful women like you are their target” “Hmmmn, that is very scary. That means you have to mark me or they would snatch me away from you” I said cheekily. He ripped me to him and flipped me under him. “Don't say that again. No one would snatch you away from me. By tomorrow you will have my mark engraved in you”

He said. "Markus what?" "Markus marked my mother and they are now mates. They are in the dining room waiting for us." Zeus. "How can Markus marked your Mom? Didn't she have your father's marked?" I asked. "Yes, she was, but my dad withheld the bond. That's one of royals gift, though I just discover it lately when my Mother came back and told me that Markus marked her." Zeus. "I don't know that there's that kind of gift from pure blood werewolf." I said.

We pulled away from each other to see Stephen and Steven standing by me. "You know what I am having a hard time believing?" I turned to see Norman standing behind me. "What is that," Stephen asked "How could a human give Gwen that Mark on her neck," Norman said "You know humans can Mark their Mate," I said "Yeah, but when a human Marks their Mate, the mark never turns out to be the picture of a wolf,"

I coughed in the end as my voice suddenly rose while I stated my facts to him. At the same time, Graham entered the room and looked at us with a stunned expression. The silence stretched in the room was thick with tension, but I wasn’t done with explanations and questions. “I am a silver wolf. You are a black wolf with a crescent moon mark in the middle of your forehead. Madeline is a white wolf. Nolan is a metallic grey wolf with a black crescent moon mark under his right eye. Graham is a golden-brown wolf with a big crescent moon mark on his left shoulder. Do you really think that they will only target Madeline just because she is a white wolf?”
