Today was the day of the mating ceremony I was on my way to Santana and Xander’s house to say goodbye before we left for the next couple days. At the ceremony female wolves are given rankings based on their strength and likelihood to be a good match for an alpha. The best rankings were a 10, the weakest wolves were ranked as a one. Female wolves were to stay with those that were ranked the same as them so I very well may be split from my friend. It may be the last time I see them as unmated wolves. Lexi continued. “ You wolf will tell you her name when she presents. I have only known wolf that are the same sex as their human. As for being an Alpha or beta there are several factors. One is the energy they give off. Each Beta has a similar scent. And there is the size of their wolf. Now that Nathan had found her, he would do anything in his power to protect her and it was killing him to feel her fear. An Alpha's order makes you obey despite your wishes; it is limited to their own packs, but the big three can also use their command to other wolves since they possess great strength and mental will. It is not commonly used, though, since almost all of the wolves are already so loyal and committed to their packs. Sometimes it is just used to scare or force traitor wolves to tell the truth.

Delta was decided pretty quickly and epsilon and zeta too, delta is the head warrior and epsilon are a tad lower that ofter train the zetas. It would be easier just to say that when a wolf wants to be a warrior they start at zeta rank and can climb to epsilon and perhaps a delta if they are strong enough but that rarely happens.
