Wolf Pack Ranks And Meanings Novels & Stories

Nova’s wolf explains rank systems better than I do. Before I could even respond, my mind was suddenly flooded with two more voices. Nova sounded shocked. Sloane, how in the hell are you pulling both me and my wolf into your head at the same time? My wolf laughed proudly. Because we’re special. Nova’s wolf let out a deep wolfish chuckle. Okay, so let’s explain this properly. According to the Moon Goddess, the ranking system is Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Zeta wolves are rare which are usually war generals, then Omegas, then last are regular-degular pack wolves.

He crossed his legs. “Confrontation agitates werewolves, it is a sign of disrespect. Werewolves have a wolf in them and that wolf will not bow to another nor will they be disrespected and that is why we have ranks here. A higher-ranked wolf must not be disrespected by a lower-ranked wolf. Neither will any wolf, any wolf at all take disrespect from a human.”

“I got the sense that he thinks of your wolf as a relative. Almost like a brother or something. Do you know why he would feel that way? All he could really tell me was that he had to earn his trust.” “Good question.” The Alpha nods and gives me a sad smile. “You may have noticed the difference in the names our wolves go by. Our research has shown the older the male wolf, the more their name relates to nature. Rocky, Avalanche, Canyon, River. Old female wolf names are the same but floral related. Lavender, Lily, Poppy, Pansy. Those wolves were never meant to be warriors. They were guardians of nature, wild and unharnessed, with a few exceptions. Younger wolf spirits are guards and warriors. T

Not a woman with flesh and blood and emotions filled in her. "No that is not what I meant. In the pack as you are well awake, werewolves are placed and ranked by their importance, by their value". "Your parents are highly ranked because of that value system and now you are just like them yourself. A Beta of the Aurora clan pack".

The word felt heavy, like something I had heard in stories but never in real life. He nodded. “Yes. Werewolves live in packs. Think of it like a family but also like a company. The Alpha is like the manager or the leader. They make decisions for the good of everyone. Under the Alpha there is the Beta, who helps lead and keep order, and then the Gamma who takes on other duties. It is a hierarchy; a system that keeps the pack strong.”

It sounds like we're gonna be pack members but surely there is something bad about it. "Ordinatis wolves, sub Lupi, basically mean that we're going to become subordinate wolves. It's the lowest ranking group of a pack that there is. Basically we will be pack members but with less privileges. Or none at all. I'm not quite sure how it works here." Rose explained. What? Really? "Hmm, like mordern day slaves. This is awful. " I said, leaning against the wall and bringing my knees up to my chest and leaning my head on them.

He’s totally stunned. “A Pack is a group of werewolves. We basically are like a family that protects and cares for each other. And we have a hierarchy, ranked members based on your blood and strength. So Alpha CJ is our current leader because he is the strongest and has Alpha blood. His father, Alpha Alonzo, was the previous Alpha. And then there are the Betas like me who are second in command. There are many of us Betas throughout the territory because we own so much land. Many smaller Packs wanted to join us. So that we could provide them with better protection from Rogues. And other species trying to wipe them out! There are also Gammas or third in command and Deltas or forth in command.

She'd been explaining all there is to know about her kind. Apparently, they're werewolves and I'm currently residing in their pack. They've got ranks like Alpha, Beta, Delta and Omega..blah blah. I told her of the danger they were in by keeping me here. If my father doesn't come for me, some other creatures might hear of my presence here and decide to go on a rampage, tearing this pack apart till they finally have my head. And as fun as that sounds, I really don't feel good endangering these folks.

Milly explained. “They are bigger than you are,” Wyatt said. “Of course they are. They are both Alpha wolves. I’m an Epsilon. As they are the pack’s leaders and protectors, they are bigger and stronger than me. If we are to live with a pack, there will be times when you will have to socialise with others in wolf form, and they will all be different sizes,” she told him. “And before you ask, you will never pet a wolf that isn’t me.”
