Wolf Pack Roles Novels & Stories

I asked. “You’re not just rare, Danni. You’re the kind of power that resets the board. Wolves will follow you. Enemies will hunt you. And the laws that protect everyone else? They don’t fully apply to you. You’re not part of the system… You’re what breaks it, if you choose too.” Joel explained. “White wolves are the first. They are the pure, they are not restricted to the things we are. Regardless of rank.” Luka added. “Rank?” I asked

I open the book on my lap and start to read again, picking up where I left off. 'The survival of a pack has always depended upon a delicate and sacred balance that has been practiced from the very beginning of time. Each wolf, from Alpha-borns to Omega-borns, serves an essential role within the pack system. Disruptions of this balance tend to lead to collapse, fighting among packs, or exile. While Alpha-borns may lead with strength and strong decision-making abilities, and Betas traditionally lead with logic and resilience, it is Emberborns who act as the moral compass and heart of any pack, and their leadership is known for being unbiased.

But college is expensive and having the pack pay would be pretty nice, maybe the trade off would be worth it. If I do have a wolf, my plan is moot. I will be expected to mate and breed. A she-wolf's greatest contribution to the pack is making little wolves to strengthen the pack. Moonless Night is a medium sized pack. There are around 1,200 members. I have never really seen myself as a mate and mother. If I have a wolf, I will be introduced to every unmated male in our pack at the earliest opportunity.

My wolves name is Ara. The leader of the pack is called Alpha, who is the most dangerous and most powerful of all. He protects his pack. His mate is Luna of the pack, she takes care of everyone. Then there is Beta and Beta female, who is second in command to Alpha. Then Gamma and Gamma female, they are third in command to Alpha. Then there are Warriors, who fight in the wars. After them, are the Deltas and then us, the Omegas. We are assigned duties for the pack.

“So, um… how does this pack even work? I mean, beyond the Alpha and Beta stuff. I only know what little Zeke bothered explaining.” I glance back to the Alpha in question who just shrugs and looks between the both of us, smiling like he's really only happy to be here. Roman leans back against his chair, a hum of thought in his throat. “We’re a hierarchy, yes, but not a dictatorship. Every wolf has a role. Hunters, scouts, healers, enforcers… loyalty is our spine and discipline our ribs.” It's a boring discourse, but it's the only thing I can think of to discuss with him. Baby steps, I guess.

I will help the team doctor as he takes care of players' minor medical ailments and injuries. In so many ways, the job with the Wolf Packers is a dream come true. Not only is it really cool to hang out with the team, but also --because the coaches and owners are werewolves--- the job gives Rose and I just enough exposure to other werewolves to keep us sane. The team even runs a bit like a pack, with the owner being the functional equivalent of an alpha; the head coach fulfilling the role of a beta; and the other coaches acting as deltas and gammas. The players, meanwhile, act as pack members (even though they have no idea that that is their role).

There was a tale passed through generations, reaching the 21st Century, about a group of werewolves’ special mutation that brings out dormant abilities from a family’s genetic line. They were said to be marked and blessed by the moon goddess for they were the first of her followers. They were given the title of Legacy Wolves, keeping up their tradition and passing on their special traits through their children.

Howls of wolves were echoing. The sound of claws slashing intermingling. Making the pack lands of the Capital. Resemble hell. The ground covered in red, from the blood of the pack wolves, hunters and the bloodhounds. With the bloodhounds over powering owing to the advantage of extra ordinary strength and number. Volkan was bleeding from his arms and thighs. Yet his indomitable will , made him retort back more fiercely. His wolf growling and tearing apart the bloodhounds while Daniel was no less.

I leaped down from the wall, landing on the gritty expanse of soil outside the castle and swaggering up to the writhing wolf who had fallen silent now, her head twisted at an odd angle as she watched me out of the corners of her eyes. I waved the infantry soldiers bracketing the wolf off, watching with a spark of impatience as they snapped off the chains that had been holding the wolf to the ground and the grinding gears of the stone walls pulley working to reset the traps boomed behind us. “Kneel,” I rumbled in my Alpha voice and watched as the beige wolf’s large knees hit the ground. Not a Rogue then, and a not from Alpha Toph’s clan. Still, I watched her carefully, not quite ready to rela

Although he became weaker, the cruelty and ruthlessness of someone who once rule over the savage mountain wolves is very evident. Just as when his strike reaches the wolf's neck, the young wolf screamed in horror. "Elder, no! I'm a pack member! Elder!" The attack halted and Hector's eyes momentarily flickered as if regaining his sanity. His bloodlust instantly diminished when he smell the familiar scent of the pack member. Even though the wolf in front of him had an unfamiliar face, to him, the keen sense of his kind will never betray him. He help him to get up and supported him to lean on a tree trunk on the side of the road.
