Sketched in dark, sweeping strokes of charcoal was a breathtakingly intricate rendering of the Silver Paw pack crest, surrounded by incredibly lifelike wolves woven into a Celtic knot design. The shading was flawless, capturing the raw, feral energy of the animals with perfect precision. "Emerald drew these?" Zyan asked, his voice dropping into a low, genuinely impressed rumble. Just unmarked leather and the weight of secrets waiting to be discovered. I opened it carefully, mindful of pages that looked fragile enough to crumble at a touch. The first page made me gasp aloud. Ink drawings filled the yellowed paper—not the crude sketches of an amateur, but artwork of remarkable skill and disturbing beauty. A wolf, massive and powerful, its eyes rendered in such detail I could swear they were watching me from the page. And beside it, a woman in flowing robes, her hand extended toward the beast as if in offering or benediction.

I opened my eyes. I was holding a sizeable photo frame, which looked as though it had been hand carved from cedar wood. Inside was a beautiful watercolour, depicting three wolves: one stood in the middle, facing forwards, and two set slightly back behind it, turned slightly away. The one in the middle was brown, the one to the left cream, and the one on the right was a silver toned white. I smiled – they were Rosa, Jacob, and I. A beautiful, bottle green forest surrounded them, with an ethereal moon shining high above. “Rosa,” I breathed, awe-struck. “This is incredible.”

There was a girl in the middle as the center, however unlike the last piece he had created where there had been a wolf at her side, now there were two wolves emerging from her side, the parts where the connected to her body were jagged, sharp and dangerous, representing the vicious pull of the wolves inside of her as they escaped her body.
