JULIA "What are you reading now?" Scott asked. Scott was my husband of ten years. He had just caught me engaged in one of my guilty pleasures, reading erotic romance novels. More than erotic, steamy really. Scott is tall, surfer boy handsome and fit. He has his own residential construction business and often worked with his men, which meant he was a man's man as well as a woman's. I loved him immensely and was not looking to upgrade. For that matter, he was more romantic than I was, still giving me flowers on special occasions and celebrating Valentine's Week, not Valentine's Day. He helped with the household chores, rubbed my feet or my back if they hurt, and was the best lover I've ever ha

But, I become indulged on the own world that I created that I decided to expand it >_< . I know that an urban dark fantasy with a touch of steamy romance is not that popular for online novels. But I still finished it anyway; despite my initial belief that I can’t get pass through 50k words. And here I am, finishing a book with a whopping 70 chapters and more than a hundred thousand words! The sequel and final installment of The Blood Rose saga entitled, “Queen of Vampires and Werewolves”, will be coming this April—or May. Anyway, since this is a non-exclusive book, a self-published paperback version of this novel (which will be the second edition as I have removed and edited some scenes) wil

“You learned something? From him?” “Yes, we both learned a lot from each other. There are different genres in literature for a reason. And you can’t ignore the fact that romance is the most read genre in the world. There’s a reason why his books are so popular and if you look farther than your prejudice you will learn to appreciate them for the work of art that they are. That’s all I’m going to say…” Iori finished and spun around intending to leave only to feel his hand on her arm stopping her from leaving and turning her around to look at him. “No, wait!” He exclaimed and Iori flinched at his nearness.

Every time I read romance novels, I've always thought what a bunch of liars those authors are, to put shitty smut that the majority of us women, don't even experience. Like seriously, getting wet just by his presence in the room? Or at the sound of his voice? Bullshit, that's what it is!

I spent next days on writing. I got some new energy and a burst of creativity, and the words kept popping in my head, furthermore, I was able to put them in sentences that were making sense! I wrote three more chapters in less than two days and then gladly read comments left by my new readers. Most of them were flattering… expect for one. Someone wrote that my novel is lacking a romance… Well, maybe the reason was – so was I. Tom left almost a week ago. His photoshoot supposed to last three days.

Oh shut up brain. “I didn’t know if Rosa was home, besides…” he cages me against him by my waist. Forcing me to inhale him. His spicy and woodsy delicious scent. “Girls love those things. Squirming in my bed as he watched in the theater room. Like a movie.

"You like mysteries?" "Sometimes." "Better than romance novels?" My face heated. Had he seen me looking at that shelf? Had he been watching? "Much better," I said firmly. "Romance novels are... unrealistic." Something flickered in his eyes. Amusement maybe. "Are they?" "Yes. All that instant attraction and forbidden desire and enemies becoming lovers. It doesn't work like that in real life." "Doesn't it?" The way he said it—the slight emphasis, the look in his eyes—made my stomach flip.
