His Promise: The Mafia's Babies
Christian spoke.
He hates them.
Most of the time Christian did not realize how much impact his cold words left, but I just had to get used to it. “How are you, how is my baby?”
“Our baby.” I corrected him. The word, our, was something important to me—it wasn’t his baby it was our baby. “Our baby.” He repeated. “She’s doing fine and so am I.”
“You know, I was going to ask about you next.” Christian chuckled.“Wait, let me go someplace quiet.” He excused himself.
