World War 2 Book Novels & Stories

I shook my head frantically, trying to remove the unwanted memories. I pulled a volume from the shelf at random, carrying it to a nearby reading chair positioned beneath a lamp. The leather was worn smooth with age, the pages yellowed but still crisp. A history of the Great Wars, written centuries ago. I lost myself in the text, my troubles temporarily forgotten as I absorbed tales of ancient battles and long-dead heroes. When that book was finished, I found another. Then another. It was in a section labeled "Bloodlines and Legacy" that I found something that made my heart race.

I just found where I'm going to spend the rest of my time while Keo is absent. I spend at least half an hour inspecting as many books as possible before one piques my interest. It's particularly old, written over a century ago. By the looks of it, it details some Angel-blood history regarding Demon's. Lugging the book upstairs, I lay it on my bed, flipping the cover open. I take my time scanning the small text, learning about the war, about Angel's depiction of Demon's. It's rough, hearing how they detail the mass death's, and how they justify it.

Things were still pretty good back then after the war that separated us from the Werewolves. It will be the biggest lie of mine if I say that none of this affects me, that I have faith in our love and that you will remember me in no time. But I would just keep on pretending, not until the negativity inside me melt away. There appeared to have been two human world wars as that topic featured heavily. She picked one of the larger books up, scanning the back. Michael saw what she was looking at. “If you're looking for fighting techniques that won't help, they used their guns and planes.” Alissa mouthed the words back. “Don't ask,” he responded. “I'm looking to know more about...” Alissa waved in the general vicinity. Michael tapped at his chin and started looking at the books.

*Sienna* I wave at Em as I walk into the library with Mei again. I see he has his phone glued to his ear but he gives me back a small wave and then continues on with his call. I sit next to Mei and look at what she is going to read next; 'History of World War 2' and I chuckle. "You are really going to read that?" She grins. "I finished World War 1 before I went to get the token for Xavy. I love huma… Ehm… history."

Lyra was having a good time, although there weren't many women in the group, and that made many of the male rebels try to conquer Lyra. She simply rejected them politely and then continued to celebrate, which made her feel safe. In the midst of the celebration, in the forest, a rebel kept running, wanting to reach the base as quickly as possible. I had randomly picked it up at the bookstore and somehow felt myself drawn towards it. Sappy novel with mopey dialogues and dragged out bits, it still provided me with much needed solace.
