"Even you want to betray me now! Are you going to leave me too?" Wilson struggled desperately. His breathing grew harder, and his vision started to blur. Driven by sheer survival instinct, he grabbed the emerald sculpture on the table and smashed it against Jessica. She let out a low grunt and collapsed. Wilson clutched his neck and coughed violently. Staring at Jessica lying on the floor, his eyes held not a trace of concern. Instead, there was only disgust and scorn in his gaze. "Look at you. Without your parents to back you up, you're nothing but a useless wreck. I'm not going to waste my life in poverty with you. I thought you'd make a comeback, but clearly, you're just useless."

I smiled at Annie, and in an absolute tone, I answered her question, "He is, Annie. He's worth it. And if I had to go through all the shit just to be with him, I'd gladly face it and do it. Because he's worth it. Because I love him." Annie did not say anything right away. She just stared at me for a while before an adoring smile showed up on her face, and then she told me, "Then fight for him. If he's truly worthy of all the pain and the problems, if he makes you happy, and if you truly love each other, then fight for him. But not just for him, but for yourself too, Layland. Fight for your freedom and for your happiness. Because you deserve it."

No holding back. This was a fight.
