I want to write the story of a man who understood exactly what he was doing and who he was doing it for, and who did it anyway, and who was right. I write the first page in one sitting. It is not the first page of the book in its final form; it is the first page I write, which is the one where you discover whether the voice is there or whether you are going to have to build it, and the voice is there from the first sentence, which surprises me and does not surprise me. All my life, I never knew things would turn out like this. Funny how everything can change in such a short time. But can you ever stop it from changing? I never imagined I'd write this down in a book. Yet here I am. It's the only way to feel free of it. But anyway… let's get started, shall we? My name is Anna, and this is my story.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who have read up to this point! I'm terribly sorry for disappearing for a few days. I was dealing with emergency family matter. I admit that I didn't really have a system in place to write for this platform, so I don't have enough reserve chapters to be able to consistently update. This is also my very first venture to the world of online novels. A lot of things I still have to learn, and this book seemed like a good idea when I first started coming up with it. Who knew that after reading more, I begin to realize how slow the openings are, etc.

WHERE ARE MY MANNERS? I FORGOT TO INTRODUCE BOOK 2 TO YOU GUYS! How rude of me, right? Anyway, bear in mind that this book wasn’t written for apps like these. I started out on W*****d, and my younger mind genuinely thought that one day some big producer was going to stumble across my story and hand me a billion-dollar contract to turn it into a movie or series. So I wrote this story as adventurously and unapologetically as my imagination would allow.

When I started writing this book, I was scared because I wasn't sure people will dig a weak Alpha kind of story, but the feedback I got is just so wow, especially because this is literally the first time of me publishing a book on Goodnovel. The idea of this book came in July 2022 and I didn't know I would actually write it out, or get it signed on Goodnovel, but it just happened, and I'm really grateful to have gotten the opportunity to tell this story on such an amazing platform, and I am also thankful to my readers for being with me in every step of the way and reading this little book of mine.

Thank you for reaching this stage, and for finally saying goodbye to this book baby of mine with me. And just so you know, this is the first book I have ever completed. Ever. In the past few years, I’ve struggled with writing, and have not completed a book despite starting numerous books, so it’s a big celebration to have this baby marked completed. Dearest reader, When I first started writing this story, I had no idea what I was stepping into. Dante and Alera’s world began as a whisper in my head. Thier love was a messy, aching kind that demanded to be told and somehow, it became my very first published book on GoodNovel. This journey has been everything but easy.
