At Arm's length

At Arm's length

"I won't tell you writing a novel is not an easy job, It is actually easy when you know exactly what you are doing and you like what you are writing." "When you want to write a novel, make sure you do your researches and outline your plot. Plotting is very Important." I added, a little bit delighted they were paying attention "Your story has to begin with an interesting hook, make sure the prologue and first chapter creates a desire to read more, for your readers."

This book was a page turner from start to finish, I couldn't put it down once I started. Full of humour and wit, and some of the most ridiculously funny characters I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. This book is worth five stars and more. Kudos to the writer?

An inciting read with spurs of savory romance, humour and subtle wit. I so much love the bond between Adesewa and Kenechukwu. The writer's pen keeps brewing scintillating scenes about them that it leaves me with an insatiable urge for more chapters. Big ups to you dearie❤

Before I could change my mind, he walked toward them. He pulled the woman away to dance, leaving Clyden alone. My pulse raced. This was insane. But I walked forward anyway. “Hi,” I said softly. “Can I talk to you?” He looked at me slowly. Carefully. Then smirked. “Sit.” I did. “What do you need?” I swallowed. “Can you… be part of my novel?” His brows furrowed. “I don’t understand.” “I just need to observe you,” I said quickly. “While I write. That’s it. I’ll finish my book and then—”

I had an idea and a plot, I was inspired by an article I found on Stockholm syndrome… that was why I found the Book 1 necessary to be written, so you can see the back story. I also added other character lives because I would love to be doing spin offs and I wouldn’t want to begin it with back stories of characters you already knew. I was really young when I started this book, with a lot of ideas for it but so little skill hence I wasn’t able to describe some scenes or emotions the way I had it in my head but this only goes to say I would be editing this book from the beginning. I actually thought it was a good idea to not write the main concept of the book in the introduction but turns out n

To all the readers waiting like me...I think the author just doesn’t use this platform anymore. There was an update on another platform, I just gave up. I do not like to leave a book and not knowing the ending. But it seems the author does not even bother post a comment on this platform.

I will like to know when the next novel will be publish? Is Jump is the last part of the bullied series? Want to know if the little girl will be safe. And even do people are against Iris and Hunter. I will like to see them together. Hunter needs to redeem himself.

The Crimson Letter

The Crimson Letter

To the hush in the corners of the room that felt too deep. “Did you ever think the house was… alive?” Sloane asked, voice low. Theo took a slow sip, then sat beside her. Not too close. But not far. “Not alive,” he said. “Just aware.” She nodded, absently, eyes fixed on the fire. “When I started writing The Crimson Letter, I thought it was fiction. I had no outline, no plan. The words came all at once like they already existed.” “And then it disappeared,” Theo said.

you can change your book cover or synopsis accordingly and try again. # What genres of novels do you accept? All genres are welcome. Although we have more romance novels right now, we're slowly changing that and trying to make our platform more diverse. # How many words should I write in each chapter? We suggest you to keep your each chapter between 0.8k-1k words. This isn’t a hard and fast rule, but readers might balk at chapters that fall short or go too far over this wordcount. You can adjust your chapter's length according to your own needs.

Great explanation, thank you very much for sharing this guide with us authors. It's very helpful & will allow authors to understand what they're getting into, if they decided to become a GN author they're question we'd ask & answer we'd like to hear. This book guide is very excellent dear editors.

Answered a lot of questions I didn't even know I had, and the main one I tracked this down for. Just wish that when I submitted a book for the first time that this was a suggested read, as it would streamline a lot. Glad this exists, just wish I knew sooner.

My thinking is that I add an authors note a the end of 'book' 1 so to speak and re-write the synopsis to advise any new readers that it will be 2 books in one. Alternatively, the other idea I had was to just have a longer book, but I don't want the length to scare off new readers. Thanks in advance! :)

So if this is Book 1 and 2??? What and where is the second book. I’ve read until chapter 59. The comments at the end asking about when the next chapter will be posted are all from 2months ago. Is this it?

This book is an excellent read so far but it is supposed to be book 1 and book 2. There have been no updates on this story in a long time, that is true. Has anyone found out if anything is wrong with the author? It should be one of the questions asked.

“What can we expect in that story?” “Is Sindy Kate really gone?” The questions continued, and I was like a deer caught in the headlight. My teeth started to tatter, and the flashes were blinding me. I swallowed all my nerves and smiled. “Yes, I am writing a novel. It’s fiction but inspired by my life experience. I want to inspire all the women out there, in all walks of life, that it is okay to dream high, not to give up when things get tough. I want to show them that I may be born into a privileged family, but life isn’t always perfect.”

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

For a long second—however long “second” meant here—I just floated there with the pen in my hand and the blank in front of me. Old instinct kicked in. Plot. Outline. Control. The urge to start sketching individual arcs, to decide exactly who went where and what they learned and how they cried along the way. I gripped the pen tighter until the urge passed. No. That wasn’t what this was. I wasn’t here to puppeteer every soul that would ever move through whatever came next. I wasn’t drafting a master novel where everyone hit my favorite tropes on cue.

I'm not a robber or a thief, I have nothing to fear. I also let this problem, and consider it a normal thing that should be ignored. I started to open the laptop and write a new novel script. I just hope his new novel doesn't take me to his world anymore, like what happened in the past. I write the werewolf genre and about a girl with a fun adventure.

Questions fréquentes

A synopsis can be a daunting task for many people. Relax, though, it is something that requires skill and practice.

First, read the work thoroughly to understand its main ideas, plot, and characters. Then, identify the key elements such as the main characters' goals, conflicts, and resolutions. Begin your synopsis with a hook to draw the reader in, like a brief, intriguing statement about the work.

Summarize the plot in a logical sequence, highlighting the most important events. Keep it concise, focusing on the overall arc rather than minor details. For example, in a novel synopsis, you might skip over some of the less - significant sub - plots. Finally, end with a statement that leaves the reader interested in the work.
