"If you have another skill, you can enter the contest." "Whoa, first prize is ten thousand dollars!" the colleague on Sierra's left suddenly gasped. "They're really going big for the tenth anniversary!" Sierra glanced over. Only then did she notice that Morgan's secretary had sent a new message in the group chat. First place, ten thousand dollars. Second place, five thousand dollars. Third place, two thousand dollars. If the group was made from five staff or fewer, each person gets a two-hundred-dollar participation reward. If the group had more than five staff, it would be counted as a performance by the entire department, and the department would get one thousand dollars instead.

I can hear the gasps from the crowd, everyone shocked at once. I look toward where Nath is standing. He's staring at me with the warmest gaze, like I'm the only person who matters, and I can't stop smiling even though my face hurts. The other winners receive their prizes too. Second place gets three hundred thousand. Third place gets two hundred thousand. Both amounts higher than usual, so at least Nath was generous to everyone. But still. Three million versus three hundred thousand is quite a difference. I keep smiling as the ceremony ends, probably looking like an idiot but completely unable to care.

She wants to win but not at the expense of others, she knows she was better
