Wrong Place Wrong Time Summary Novels & Stories

DAEM'S POV The two of them seem to be enjoying their conversation because they no longer realise how time is running. Daem looked at the time on his watch, and it was twelve midnight. Maybe he was looking for the girl he was with, so he immediately stood up and got her attention. ❝Let's go!❞ he invited me her. ❝Ha! Where? ❞ she asked confusedly while still sitting. Daem approached her and stared into her eyes without fear.

Emily By dawn, I was already back at my desk with a mug of tea I barely remembered making and a pit in my stomach that hadn’t moved in days. The office was quiet—most of the staff didn’t start arriving for another hour—but my fingers were already flying across the keyboard, combing through the login records again. Something hadn’t sat right with the last anomaly I flagged. The time stamp was wrong—not off by hours, but by seconds. Too clean. Too perfect. I scrolled back to a document I’d marked two nights ago and cross-referenced the metadata. Then again. Then again. There.

Two days later. (26th. May. Friday.) "Emily, any update?" Leo asked over the phone, leaning against his office chair. "Not good update, actually, but we stand to believe someone was really behind it." "Talk to me." "The CCTV cameras didn't show anything strange, and thanks to a liable officer, we were able to detect an error in the time frame." "Error?" Emily nodded. "Time skipped in it. Like 10-20 minutes were missing."

"You just have to know it's not your fault. And that you have proof." I looked at the two confirmations again, the numbers steady and unambiguous in a way nothing else about tonight had been, and understood, with a clarity that made my stomach drop all over again, that Friday's deadline wasn't actually the real problem anymore. The real problem was figuring out exactly what Maevra had done with my money — and why.

Their gaze met and for a moment everything went silent for Nero, only she matters in his world. “What will we do now?” Gordon raises his arm to stroke through his almost grey hair in despair. “Are you sure? I mean no offence but you was really young when all this happened. Do you really think we are at the same risk? Don’t you think we are safe here within our walls?” Ezra is sceptical in the hope Nero is wrong and it was just a random tap into the territory.

" She had gone to the bank one day, and it so happened, to be the day some robbers decided to rob that bank. It turned out to be a robbery gone wrong, and she, amongst a few others, unfortunately didnt get out alive." My knees feel weak, hearing all of this. My body feels heavy and overweighed, by the all this. I sit back down on the bench, trying to calm my breathing. I feel so dizzy all of a sudden. "I never wanted people to view her from the mistake ---------" " Mistake?" My head whips to her. " That's not what I meant. I'm just trying to explain that she did something wrong, yes, but the circumstance she was under --------"

Meat was disgusting to me. I felt like crying when the warriors threw me in the said dungeon. It was worse than I had imagined. Cold, damp, and reeking of mildew and rot. I tried to get out but they shoved me inside again and my knees hit the unforgiving stone floor. The door slammed shut behind me, the finality of it settling in my chest like a boulder. Three days. Three days without food, without warmth, without knowing what he would do to me next. I curled into myself, pressing my forehead against my knees. The walls felt like they were closing in, the silence deafening.

Michael roared behind me, powerless to do anything else. But I didn't look back and walked straight out of his office. By my calculations, it was about time. Kellie had only been holding on because of the special medication I'd prepared for her. Now that there was no medication left, and she was 35 thousand feet up in the air, it was about time for her condition to flare up. I went home, turned off my phone, drew the curtains, and went straight to sleep. … Early the next morning, I turned my phone back on to find it filled with missed calls from the Castille family.

"Oh my god, is that you?" "Sophie, it's me." "Five years! I thought I'd never hear from you again," Sophie said, her voice full of surprise. "Are you okay?" "That European tour you mentioned..." I took a deep breath. "Is the offer still good?" The line went quiet for a few seconds. "Of course it is." Sophie's tone turned serious. "We've always kept a spot for you, Elena. The Vienna Philharmonic has been waiting." "I can leave in seven days."

He moved to the machine, pressed three buttons, and then handed three metal helmets to my parents and Steve. “Mr. Zeller,” he explained carefully, “once the three of you sit down and put these helmets on, you’ll be able to view the subject’s memories through the built-in visual interface. Based on her brain activity, she’ll only be able to recall three memories. Anything beyond that is extremely dangerous and could cause brain damage, seizures, bleeding, or permanent memory loss.” “Three times is enough. The first one should be about Emily’s disappearance. She definitely knows something,” Steve said impatiently as he grabbed a helmet and sat down beside me.
