But as soon as I entered, Xia came in too, carrying books. She’d removed her bright makeup, and her youthful, clean face looked especially beautiful under the light. I was familiar with the overview of the history, but since it was a full history, there were many details I hadn’t known.

I refrained in fear that if I touched it there, it might whisk me away from this magical place. Row upon row of bookshelves stretched out before me, the books’ silver spines glinting in the soft light. The haunting book collection seemed to stretch on beyond my line of sight. From what little I was able to read as I walked by, their topics ranged from ancient Grimoires bound in black leather to modern volumes, bound by machines with glossy edges.

When I was dressed and ready, I got in my car and drove. When I arrived, I walked in, the fresh smell of paper filled the air, and I was in heaven. I started looking around until I came to the supernatural, fiction section I browsed the titles and began to reach for one when someone else’s hand reached out at the same time. “Ooops, sorry.” I said. “It’s okay,” a familiar voice answered. I looked up to see Xander smiling down at me. “What are you doing here?” I asked him. “Isn’t it obvious? I’m buying books.” He said.

Chapter 34 Introduce Yourselves The next morning after breakfast, Xander, Xavier, Selene and Nahla went to the pack house office, they were meeting with the chosen bodyguards. "I found this in Father's old library." As I walked over, curiosity sprung to life in me. "It's about the history of Nightmare Pack."

Xavier noticed her eyes gleamed purple in the dim room, and he knew he had to calm her down before she went out of control. "Just listen to me Layla",he said frantically. "I have the book. The Grimoire I told you about, the one you went to find in the past. I have it here with me" "I don't want to see it",Layla shook her head adamantly. "Open this door and let me leave" "Would you just listen!",finally losing his temper, Xavier snapped at Layla. His eyes turned black for a moment with anger. When he saw Layla's shocked face, he shut his eyes to rein in his emotions.
