Suddenly, I’m aware that if Xavier walks in right now, this stops being emotional. It becomes war. “Kendrick.” Xavier’s voice cuts through the room like a blade. He’s standing in the doorway, shoulders rigid, eyes locked not on his brother— But on me. His gaze drops briefly to my mouth. Then to my wrist. The red marks on my wrist were very obvious. I moved instantly creating space between Kendrick and me as soon as I saw the direction of his gaze. Something in his expression changes. Dangerously. “What is this?” Xavier asks, his voice low.

The Citadel, which was supposed to be a frozen graveyard by dawn, was now glowing on the horizon like a fallen star. The freight elevator hit the top floor and hissed open, releasing a cloud of superheated steam. Xander stepped out first, his torn tactical coat snapping behind him like a tattered cape. He looked absolutely feral—his chest and arms were marked with fresh, glowing scars from the Daemon fight, and his midnight-blue eyes were burning with a predatory, imperial hunger. "Status report!" Xander roared, his voice echoing through the corridor with the weight of absolute Admin Privileges.

Especially since Xavier's company specializes in aircraft weapons and bombs. The commander and Dave continue debriefing us for two more hours. Taking their time to show the weapons, how dangerous they are, and going through the list of everybody who has ever come in contact with the designs. After hours of briefing, the system is wiped and the folders shredded. We've officially been released on a mission that doesn't exist. I go home and pack some of my things so I can move closer to Bishop's X. The commute from where I currently live to Bishop's X would waste valuable work time and I'd rather not.

"Alpha, we have a problem." Gamma Ray said barging into Damien's office. "What is it?" He asked. "Alpha Xander is outside the territory with a pack of wolves." He said and Damien sighed. "I will be on my way." Damien said and dismissed him. "Ciara, come over, I was told that Xander is here." Damien said through the mindlink. Not long after did Ciara joined them and they went to meet Xander. * * They stood facing each other like warriors.

Xander was planning on going to the battlegrounds and partaking in a sparring match but spending time with his mate sounded like a much better time. Xander, being the head gamma for the Ero’s pack, trained the men warriors while his mate, Camilla, trained the women. She was his second in command when it came to the warriors. They were an excellent team, even before they mated. “I need to take a shower first,” Xander told her as they left the gym. “I will join you,” she purred, winking. He placed her on the ground, and she took his hand, walking in front of him. She swayed her hips as she walked, teasing him. She knew exactly what she was doing, and his growing erection knew it too.

He makes Ali and Cecilia saints. “I am Xena, Mother Luna of the X-pack. I…” “Southern hemisphere,” trust Xylon to correct me. “Xylon!” Amy exclaims. “What? All the packs gave her the universal citizenship,” he responds defensively. “It must be on record in case we all die here.” I shake my head and proceed. “Anyway, this is my mate, Father Alpha Xael. I have not yet discovered what kind of a breed he is, but he is kind awesome.”

Third-Person Limited POV In the war room of Redmoon Pack, silence chokes the air. Only the hum of encrypted screens and the cold tick of the wall-mounted clock dares speak. Until the communication line crackles. “Unit Alpha-3 to Command. Do you copy?” Alpha Xavier Wolfgang leans forward, eyes narrowing. His hand hovers over the call button, but it is not him but Xander, his carbon-copy heir, who answers first. “Report. Did you confirm the kill?” He can barely contain his eagerness despite the fact that the one to be killed is his twin brother!

"Xavier, they have already passed us. They are not going to stop." Xavier took a magazine from near his belt with his left hand. At the same time, he dropped the empty one on the rubber floor mats with a loud thud. Then, he swiftly put a new round in his gun with a metallic click. "Look in the glove box, " he said. He was still staring at the road in front of him. "Find out if there is a radio or a map." I unlatched the dashboard panel, and it dropped to the floor revealing the compartment inside which held three spare boxes of 9mm ammunition, a heavy metal flashlight, and a small black walkie-talkie. The walkie-talkie was loud with static. A voice came through the small speaker.
