He must’ve lost his balance, but Xavier knocked him out of the chair and we’d fallen to the floor. Gray smoke filled the room.

Xander's POV Hearing the gunshots, I swiftly turned around, my gun clenched tightly in my hands, ready to defend myself and my men. To my dismay, I found them sprawled on the ground, incapacitated, while Xavier stood tall beside them, a smirk of satisfaction etched on his face. The revelation shook me to my core. Felix continued to shake his head. He didn't even bother to say another word. He had never felt the need to explain himself to anyone. The current news on the ground is greatly spoiling the market for him, and making customers lose interest in his technology company’s product. However, every customer who has been patronizing the company, knows what they want, as they have been able to identify which products are original and fake. It is just that like one being able to differentiate Chinese fake products, from American products.

Xavier resisted the urge to wipe the passive look on the doctor's face as he discussed death like it was the weather but remembering that he had witnessed so many that it paled in severity, he looked away. "Whatever is really going on needs to be resolved soon. Floors don't have fingerprints and sperm was found in her private parts and the use of force was detected." Xavier shuddered. "Just saying." He muttered and left before Maya could act on the urge to jump him, ruin his well-ironed scrubs and order him not to talk about something so brutal, so cold so casually, and with such nonchalance. "I hate him," Xavier whispered. "Yes, that doctor is something."

Dragging the choking guard behind cover buying precious seconds, Xavier led the charge towards the entrance at a dead sprint. His silencer coughed, dropping the second lumbering guard before he could raise the alarm. Then they were breaching the scarred wooden door, moving as ghosts through dingy halls. The few bleary-eyed occupants roused quickly lost their wits and breath permanently under Xavier’s pistol whip. He left carnage in his wake, focused only on reaching the matron of this cesspool – the woman who may hold the key to Halle’s salvation.
