My fingers shook a little as I opened the file. Inside was a mask. A sexy black mask made of soft lace and shiny silk. It would cover the eyes and upper face but leave the mouth and jaw free. Delicate black lace patterns swirled around the eye holes like dark flowers. Small shiny crystals sparkled at the edges under the street light. Thin black ribbons waited to tie at the back of the head. It looked mysterious and dangerous. The kind of mask strippers wore when they wanted to hide their identity but show everything else.

Lex perused the masquerade, feeling somewhat elated by the fact that he was indistinguishable. He adjusted his white and gold mask that covered his entire forehead but extended only to half of his face. The overall colour was white with an acrylic effect. The gold highlighted the eyelids and accentuated the mask.

“Even if the footage leaks.” “Even if I upload it deliberately.” I smile behind the mask as I slip it on. “Three anonymous bodies. No faces. I put it on, and it shielded my features, except for my eyes and lips. I turned to look at him. His mask was the design of a wolf, its expression a scowl just like the one he carried permanently on his face. The only covered parts of his face were his forehead and eyelids. His eyes, nose, and mouth were exposed.

Seeing this, he paused for a second and then without saying anything, he bent slightly and picked it up and calmly placed it on the couch beside him. Then his hand went back into the bag and the next thing he brought out was a black and golden face mask which looked really good. The design was clean and detailed, with just the right touch of gold. Seeing this, Maxwell leaned closer and said. “Whoa, that looks expensive.” Michael nodded his head and added. “Not just expensive, it looks intentional.” Vivian smiled and agreed with him. “Of course it is.” Xander turned the mask slightly in his hand, his eyes carefully taking in every detail.

I sighed, and he led the way to the VIP section. “Be careful,” he gave me a nod, and I entered the booth. To my surprise, the man in there had a mask on as well. “Here,” he handed me a shawl, to cover myself, as I took a seat. “Have a drink," he offered, passing me a glass. “Not happening,” I eyed the glass suspiciously, who knows what he put inside the drink. “Hear me out, I'm not going to do anything to you,on my honor, I just want us to talk,”

Elowen POV. The leather sofa in VIP Room Three still held the warmth of the last client. I could feel it through the thin crimson silk barely covering my body as I adjusted my position, making sure every angle was perfect. The jeweled mask sat secure against my face, catching the low amber light, hiding everything that mattered while showing everything that didn't. My red hair fell in waves over my bare shoulders. No brown wig or oversized cardigan swallowing my curves tonight. Tonight, I was Nyx, and Nyx didn't hide.

“And… boom. All done.” I shot him a grateful smile, pushed myself up from the chair and grabbed the bottle of shimmer body oil. I rubbed it all over my skin, leaving gold flecks everywhere the light touched. The music outside faded, letting us know the act was almost over and I reached for the last piece of my outfit.
