At Arm's length

At Arm's length

I was about to read one, 'Home coming' by Yaa Gyasi. I was a bit depressed, because the year was gradually coming to an end. Christmas was fast approaching. And I dreaded it, as misfortunes happen to me few days to Christmas. I shuddered at the fear of what might happen this time around. Last year my wedding engagement was cancelled few days to Christmas. A year ago I lost my job few days to christmas, two years ago I almost got raped few days to christmas by a thug in the car park, thank God I was saved before he penetrated into me. I marked that day as a day I won't ever forget. Three years ago I was in a coma few days to christmas because my Fiance smashed a bottle of wine on my head. My

This book was a page turner from start to finish, I couldn't put it down once I started. Full of humour and wit, and some of the most ridiculously funny characters I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. This book is worth five stars and more. Kudos to the writer?
Illustrious Joy
An inciting read with spurs of savory romance, humour and subtle wit. I so much love the bond between Adesewa and Kenechukwu. The writer's pen keeps brewing scintillating scenes about them that it leaves me with an insatiable urge for more chapters. Big ups to you dearie❤

The Power of Forgiveness: A Woman’s Guide In Saying I’m Sorry “Just when I thought he was turning cute.” I pick up the book and take Auster’s old place, a seat that was opposite Yohan’s. Despite my inner protests I start flipping through the pages. And just like I thought it was full of pictures of women crying and hugging it out. I didn’t even have to read a whole paragraph before I decided it just wasn’t for me. Annoyed, I throw it back into one of the crates near me. My eyes wander to what Yohan was reading. I have not read the book as yet; I read the quotes at beginning of each chapter, from chapter 10 onwards. I found the quotes relevant to current situations I am facing. Thanks for a timely reminder, author! I will be reading the book soon and I anticipate an enjoyable read

My Greedy Mother-in-law

My Greedy Mother-in-law

It was as though it did not even exist. I could not even stand. Amelia could have paralyzed me with that kick. That realization wiped away the last bit of affection I had for her. She knew the history of my back injury, and it could not afford to be hurt. I struggled as I used my fingers to pull her phone out of her pocket. I twisted her fingers hard. While she yelped in pain, I pushed her away and quickly opened my bank statement using her phone. While looking at everyone with bloodshot eyes, I yelled, “Do you see it clearly?! I have less than 10,000 dollars in my account balance!”

The Bratva Biker Girl

The Bratva Biker Girl

The gap was small, just about big enough for my Harley, but she did not know that; she had no idea if her little Yamaha would fit through the gap. She took the chance, but I was quicker in manoeuvring my Harley, spinning it alongside her. I caught her around the waist and plucked her from the bike, bringing my bike to a stop as the Yamaha went through the gap and then toppled over. I had expected a fight or a scream, some kind of resistance, but I could feel her trembling violently, and when I set her on her feet, she stumbled to the barrier and gripped it as she vomited until she collapsed to the floor, gripping her knees and sobbing quietly.

Why would she have the power to tell people to not enter the kitchen. “Are you Alpha Gilliards mom?” I asked suddenly having my brain actually work. The lady chuckled and smiled, as she began chopping up cucumber, and beef for some sandwiches, and then splattered them both between two slices of bread each, lastly she filled two glasses with lemonade, and sat down at the kitchen bar with me. “My names Ygritte.” She finally stated before tucking into her lunch. I nodded my head and took a bite of my own food.

I just want 2 say if u can’t handle reading extreme acts of violence/abuse or reading about sexual assault. Then don’t read this. But I just want 2 say 2 the author. This book is absolutely incredible, ur level of detail in the descriptions of events or emotions is absolutely remarkable. Keep at it!

This story is a true masterpiece. During the first 150 pages I was angry with the author because I found the story sadistic, we saw no evolution for Dylan who suffered suffering after suffering but the plot became even more captivating afterward, excellent work author and I think I understand the re

Bargain: An Object of Desire

Bargain: An Object of Desire

"What— resigned?! You asked her to? Why?" "I didn't," I sighed, collapsing my weight on the chair with my neck hanging on the edge of the backrest. "There was a meeting. Jacob was present. They were all pissed by what had happened at the anniversary and Christopher took the bet. Perhaps, he had thought bringing Yvette into the company would make her submit her body to him, but it obviously didn't work out. He fought back like a frustrated dog and I can't tell if it was that or she was just genuinely exhausted from my world," I let out a shaky breath. "What do you think it is?"
