I rang and then hung up a few times, not wanting to seem like I was being one of those over the top girlfriends, but eventually, I just called and waited to speak to someone. ‘Hello?’ It was Jemma. ‘Hey, It's me, Harley. I was wondering if I could talk to Alex?’ ‘Oh, he’s not here, I haven’t seen him all day actually. Is something wrong?’ Oh, that’s weird. ‘No, Nothing's wrong, He was gone before I woke up, haven’t heard from him all day, that’s all’.

Vector countered lightly. I went back to pacing and worrying, and then staring at my cell phone in confusion, not knowing what to do or who else to call. Alexa didn’t show up in any of the hotels in the city; yes, I had tried to find out from all the hotels that were in the city. Alexa wasn’t at her dad’s; I was sure of this because she didn’t even want him to know about her predicament, and aside from that, Alexa now hated to be go to that house.

Right now it's like we are the only ones in the room seeing how quiet everyone else is to the point Kyle and his mum find a way to excuse themselves by gathering up the empty dishes to the kitchen while Brittany claims to go find the rest room. "I don't need you Andrew!" The frustration is clinging on to my head that I place my hands on it to find even just a little bit of comfort. "Yes you do! Where are you, Emily? Whereas Alex who is standing quietly felt bad in his heart. He was very sad. He felt wrong in his heart for him and for Emily too. It was hard for him to control himself. Abhay shouted at Alex, “What are you guys doing for two days? Alex, you can’t even find a girl? What’s the use of this much money and power when I can’t find her?”

I pulled the second and still got nothing. I searched carefully, hoping to find at least a clue, but there was absolutely nothing. “Seriously?” I whispered. “You couldn’t leave me one message?” My anxiety only worsened as I grabbed my phone and called Dexter. Still he wasn’t picking up I frowned and tried again, still I got nothing. “Pick up, Dexter.” When he didn’t, I decided to call Malcolm. These are the two people I knew Alex goes out with most times. Again, I got no answer. I lowered my hand slowly. “Not you too?”

There was no sign of Lexa. My eyes narrowed. “Stop the video.” Breed immediately paused it. I stared at the frozen image. Only Alex, nk Lexa. My heartbeat became heavier. I slowly looked at Breed. “Where is Alex now?” Breed frowned. “Our team searched the outside first, they didn’t find him.” I looked toward the house. “Did anyone search inside properly?” Sophia suddenly gasped.“Oh my God…” She turned and ran toward the front door. “Alex!” I followed immediately, every room downstairs was empty.

But Alex had nowhere to be found. I didn’t know when he had left. I looked around at all the facts surrounding me, but he wasn’t there—neither close nor far. My breathing grew more rapid, my nerves intensifying. I felt like I needed some fresh air. “Excuse me…” I tried to make my way through the crowd, searching for my lifeline, my savior: my husband. I walked a bit, but every so often, people would stop me from continuing with their compliments. I tried to apologize each time, making my way through the stand, still hoping to find Alex.

"You are right, Ms. Knight. Please forgive me. You have every right to know, being a member of this family." With a look of concern etched on his face, Roger begins to tell me the details. "What do you mean he's nowhere to be found? Have you tried calling his cellphone?" I inquire, prompting Roger to nod in affirmation. He reveals that he has been attempting to reach Alex all morning, but his phone remains unreachable. "I fear that something may have happened to him," Roger admits with a sense of worry. Squinting my eyes in contemplation, I seize this opportunity to ask, "Does he have any rivals?"

The audacity, the sickness of it made my vision blur red. I was about to lose it when she stuttered, “You know... everyone has their preferences. Nick and I like it rough. So this is where we play sometimes. I’m a married woman, I can do as I please.” I didn’t give a damn about her sloppy excuses. I just wanted to find Alex. Julian’s voice hit my mind through the link. “Seb, we’ve searched the entire pack. Alex isn’t here.” My heart stopped. For a moment, I forgot to breathe. Then the fire came—surging through my veins, hot and violent.

I barely ever saw him in gym class either. What about his parents? I found myself thinking back to that night he took me to that mansion-like house; his house. And I hadn't seen his parents there. Did he not live with his parents? That guy really was a whole different mystery. "Wait, I think I forgot my phone back in my locker." Alex frowned, patting his jacket pockets. When he didn't find it, he turned around towards the hallway. "You can come with me?" "I'll just wait here." I shook my head, not wanting to walk more than I had to. He shrugged and ran back inside while I raised my brows, looking around.
