I managed to catch myself before I fell by roughly grabbing the plush pink swivel kitchen island pub stool and grabbing the end of the granite top. I gritted my teeth as my legs buckled, the full force of her power shooting through my body like a thousand-year angry ocean that broke free.

"If I go down, we all go down." He ended the call and froze. Someone was knocking on the door.

“You think you are strong because you humiliate us and you hit others?” I asked as Mia frowned at me and Tasha opened her mouth in shock. “You can throw food at us and laugh. That doesn’t make you strong. It makes you cowards. Every single one of you.” I finished with them before I took another step forward and my eyes locked with Kai’s once more. I walked towards him in anger. “And yo—” But before I could finish my statement, my foot slipped against a banana peel and I fell hard to the floor. The impact knocked the air out of me and for a moment, I just laid there stunned and in pain.
