You Will Never See This Face Again Novels & Stories

he says with a final, chilling laugh before walking out. The tears I thought had dried up forever suddenly begin to trail down my face. They slide over my temples and pool in my ears. The finality of his words hits me. Leaving. Once we cross a border, once I’m out of the country, it’s over. I will never see my mother again. I will never see my babies. I will never see my family and friends again. The little hope I’m trying so hard to hold on to dies in that moment, extinguished like a candle in a storm.

I didn't realize. "And right. I'll celebrate. I'll celebrate this day because from now onwards I'll never cross your path, Abraham Harris, nor I'll let you do that. I will never see your fucking face, nor I'll show you mine. This is the end of every fucking thing we had", she announced at the peak of her voice and turned around.

A shaky breath escaped my lips as I stared down at my hands on my thighs. "When will I see my mother again?" Orchid asked, breaking the train of silence making us all turn our heads to her. She looked at Nostradamus nervously, waiting for his response. "You will never see her again" he spoke in finality making us all snap our heads in his direction. I heard Orchid inhale sharply, her pulse quickening. "What do you mean!?" She asked frantically.

he finishes, voice thick, “you’ll never look at me the same again.” And he turns back to the window, as if that could hold him together.

“Thank you. Will I still see you again?” He shrugged. “I would probably bother other people and see if they will listen,” He looked at me. “Close your eyes, my child. You have to go back. Just remember, when you feel like everything is blinding, just look at the sky.” I nodded, smiled at him, and then closed my eyes. ---

Slowly turning my head to the side I'm met by his gorgeous face. " Nice to meet you again Mate!" I say and hear several people gasp in the room. I don't take my eyes off him and see shock all over his face. "If you came to see me take my last breath, I won't disappoint you!" I say when I start coughing up blood. I know this is it! My time is over. Turning my head I look up in the sealing! I don't want his face to be the last thing I see before I go! My breath rasp in my body and it starts to get really hard to breathe before everything becomes black.

The band's song played loudly the soundtrack that I had prepared for this revenge: I got you in my sightI'll keep all the words you said to meGet you on your kneesRewind all the things you said that I should be. "Ah!" An expected scream cut through the dancing crowd and as the crowd cleared, a red-haired and red-eyed woman was sitting on the ground with her face covered, at a loss in the bright light. I could never forget this appearance in my life. The face that said so heartlessly to me, "Everyone you love will leave you."

He’s eating up every word like it’s the only truth he has left. His hand comes up, thumb brushing the corner of my eye. I didn’t even realize I was crying until now. This is gonna be the last fucking time he’s gonna touch my face like this. “You’re crying,” he murmurs. I laugh, watery. “Yeah. Apparently.” He shakes his head, amused. “You cry like we’re never going to see each other again.” My chest caves. Yes, baby. We’re not gonna see each other again. “Don’t say that,” I whisper, looking away before I lose it completely.

His face was bland but his eyes, they besieged her as his words shall. “I can’t keep you safe here and I can’t leave you behind again. I have my share of sins but your death will never be one of them. So please sunshine, I need you to trust me and let me get you your life back.” Each phrase he whispered made her warm until he said his next, “then you’ll never see me again.” Whatever she felt vanished as he turned away from her.

For all else, she is the same as her. “I’ll be seeing everything from now on with your eyes. Hear what you can hear, feel what you can touch. But I will never get hurt, nor will I’ll be feeling your pain. I may hate your smile and your perfect world in the future, but you can rest assured that I will never let you die.”
