Vanya’s eyes widen, and she starts bawling even louder. “Please, Alpha Kai! Anything but that wretched thing! Please, torture me daily, rip out my heart or permit me to atone with the Blood Eagle! Just please….anything ANYTHING BUT THAT DAGGER!” She sobs, looking at the obsidian thrown together dagger in Kai’s hand. That fucking Nephilim dagger - I had to pretend all was well as I sat with it in the SUV. That thing…is fucking death incarnate. My brother smirks and shakes his head. “As I said; atone for your sins in death, Vanya-”

He gently placed his two hands on the hilt of the dagger and yelled in pain, the pain, this time, was more intense as he used his whole strength in an attempt to move the dagger. His hands emitted blue fire as they burned, his eyes transformed to a shade of blue, lightening sparked through his eyes spreading through his body. Theo strangely levitated as he finally moved the dagger out from it’s place. In a very deep voice, thr dragon spoke, “At last, the decendant of the great dagger has been awoken and I will serve him with my life in this lifetime." Zarnak said as he bowed down before Theo. The dagger floated on the air still emitting blue fire as lightening sparked in the air, a seering e

he followed in Nicholas’s crass footsteps. I turned around, trying my hardest to keep the anger bubbling within me from erupting in an uglier way than I was willing to let loose in front of these assholes. I didn’t want them knowing how easily they could rule me up, but that didn’t mean any man who ever spoke a nasty word about Scarlett would live to see another minute. Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out a pure silver dagger that Hyacinth had fortified for me and spun around. In one swift motion, I threw it at the bastard, a grin spreading across my face when the knife sunk into his left eye ball and blood splattered all around him.

Moving from the column, Zephyr’s blue eyes turned glacier blue indicating he was getting angry. “No, still nothing. Ok.” Moving the blade a centimeter into her skin, Lazarus felt Jezzebelle place her body more against him as the dagger slipped into her skin. Not enough to kill but enough to feel pain. Wincing a little bit, she refused to cry out. When Zephyr still refused to show himself out of the shadows, he pushed the dagger in an inch into her skin. Blood started to seep out of her skin as he pushed further. When she thought the pain was going to get unbearable, she felt the wind shift past her face. She was yanked out of her fathers arms and tossed to the ground the dagger no longer emb

“That dagger was a special one called Lethal-Rain. When used, it has the ability to render a vampire incapacitated.’’ My heart sank so deep in my stomach I thought it was going to melt. How was I supposed to know that a dagger which happened to be within reach was able to cause such damage? All I was trying to do was stay alive. “I should kill you right here, right now because you hurt one of my most valiant men.’’ Then do it. “I-I’m s-so-”

However, the attack did not even leave a scratch on James’ body. “It’s not working!” Yegor shouted. “Use this.” Clayton tossed a dagger in Yegorʼs direction. “The Hallbjorn!” Yegor exclaimed as he caught the dagger in his hand. “You have this?!” Yegor tightened his grip on the handle and channeled the righteous aura into the weapon. Then, he threw the dagger at James’ body forcefully. This time, an opening was made in Jamesʼ skin as the dagger stabbed into his body.

Nicholas explained with a happy face but I couldn't stop crying yet. "I didn't know it was the dagger, it wasn't intentional. The dagger was just controlling itself." I kept my eyes shut as I thought that I was sounding foolish. "The dagger belongs to the million-year-old is a pet and it has a soul of its own. It chooses its owner and once it chooses them, it will keep protecting them at all costs. Congratulations, Noelle, you have become invincible," Nicholas kept explaining, probably to convince me that I was not guilty of killing the fake Daisy.

“Blakely Nirvana Woodrow Thorne, daughter of Sophie and Ezra Thorne.” I rolled my eyes when nothing happened until I noticed the pointy edge at the upper right side. I pressed my thumb on it, prickling my skin, and it magically opened effortlessly. I chuckled at my naivety. The journal opened on the page about The Dagger— the blood dagger. The size seemed small, around seven to nine inches long. “A blood dagger is to be believed could kill any beings. A dagger made of the strongest metal on earth is soaked by the blood of beings of three kinds. A spell is read while the blood dripping is performed.”

Jace was there, sitting on his bunk, looking at me with a sad kind of knowing. "You're going, aren't you?" he asked. "I have to," I said. "Take this," Jace said, reaching under his pillow and pulling out a small, silver-plated dagger. "My father gave it to me. It’s for close-quarters. If they get too close... don't hesitate." I took the dagger, the cold metal feeling heavy in my hand. "Thanks, Jace." "Rowan?" he called out as I turned to go. "Yeah?"

Then I moved. The dagger was strapped to my inner knee — a slim silver blade barely longer than my hand, small enough to have survived the healer's examination because I had pressed it flat against bone and held completely still whenever Mirela's hands came close. I worked it free with two fingers, slow and careful, barely breathing. I turned toward him. In sleep, Ryker Bloodmoon looked nothing like the monster I had spent five years constructing in my mind.
