To Love A Beast

To Love A Beast

I said and she snorted. "It's funny how much you humans think you know about us. Yes, you got some of it right like the iron daggers in your friend's pocket there. Yes, I can sense it, pretty boy," she glared at Elias and turned back to me, "Leprechauns don't want anyone to find their gold that is why it is placed in a geographical anomaly. There is no way to determine the end of a rainbow unless you're a leprechaun," she laughed. "Only two men have stumbled upon the gold and they weren't even looking for it, but this bell," she said holding it up, "is your way to one. All you have to do is stand in the forest on sunny midday and ring the bell three times." "Why three times?" I questioned.

Lovely. Modern setting, troubled family relationships, and a whole lot of love. Good writing, my only note is you need to work on your possessives (their, we are, they’re etc.) not too long, not too short. Also not intended for making $$ and I appreciate that. Great side characters too! Well done!

MAD END'S DECEPTION

MAD END'S DECEPTION

He looked less like a beast and more like a mountain that had learned to hunt. Across from him, Zephyr stood atop Garud as though the sky itself had bowed beneath him. The creature was monstrous in a way honest monsters never were. But Gildeon kept his focus locked on the center of its humanlike chest. Dragon sight pierced flesh, feather, and layered enchantments alike, and there it was— The dagger. Buried deep inside the creature’s body, glowing silver like a shard of moonlight driven into living meat. The same blade from the vision Yonah had shown him.

The Return of the War Legate

The Return of the War Legate

Amara couldn't help but exclaim, "The Splendour Pavillion truly is one of the most amazing places in the immortal world. The various divine treasures and earthly herbs collected by the owner throughout their life are probably all here!" She pointed out different items. "Look over there. That's the gallbladder of a single-horned giant snake. And that golden one is Frigid Gold, a rare ore that grows in the depths of underground abysses. Over there, there are even Pure Energy Pills... They're all rare treasures!" Amara was excited, though she couldn't quite explain why.

Marked By The Four

Marked By The Four

The door groaned open. Inside was dark. Old weapons, money, golden items, books and other things that had any bigger value layed in this room. Netly nested on shelves. But I was looking for a red wooden box. I scan the room and finnally found it. Near the end of the wall on the right. I make few steps toward it and lifted the lid. And at the center of it lay the dagger. It wasn’t large. It didn’t need to be. The blade was dark silver, almost black, etched with lines that shimmered faintly like starlight trapped beneath the surface. Sky-metal. Really old. My breath caught.

The Way of the Dragon

The Way of the Dragon

One of the daggers was obviously accompanied by the angry roars of fierce beasts, like a dragon and elephant dancing wildly. "Dragonesque Elephant's Tusk?" As he stared at this glowing dagger, Zephyr Khan's heart skipped a beat. This dagger was evidently refined by the Dragonesque Elephant's Tusk that he had obtained from the Dragonesque Elephant Graveyard last time. On both hands, daggers danced. For a moment, Ying Jiu's speed was extremely fast. In an instant, he turned into a black shadow and rushed toward the opposite side. "Ha!" The golden-haired young man also clapped his hands and gestured. A huge apparition / phantom quickly appeared in front of him.

Alpha's Mate

Alpha's Mate

The walls were lined with strange symbols, glowing faintly in the dim light. “What is this place?” Mark muttered, his voice echoing. “A place of power,” Caroline replied. “The witches who hid the dagger wanted to make sure it stayed protected.” As they ventured deeper, the cave opened into a large chamber. At its center stood a pedestal, and on it lay a dagger unlike anything Olivia had ever seen. The blade shimmered like moonlight, and its hilt was adorned with intricate carvings. “The Lunar Dagger,” Caroline whispered. Olivia stepped forward, her heart pounding. She could feel the dagger calling to her, its magic resonating with her own. But as she reached for it, a sudden roar echoed thro

Bound by the Moon: Alina's Destiny

Bound by the Moon: Alina's Destiny

The elders stood in a line at the front of the chapel, cloaked in white and silver. In their hands, they held the sacred tools of Luna’s Promise: the dagger, the binding cloth, and the chalice made of gold and rubies, a large moonstone gleaming in its center. The air around them pulsed with quiet power. We reached our positions, standing on the elevated platform. And at the center, between us, rested the Golden Chalice of Moonwater filled with water from the Moon Valley Lake. It was said to carry the essence of the goddess herself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Daggers have this fascinating duality—they're both primitive and sophisticated. The earliest ones were probably just sharpened stones or bones, something our ancestors grabbed to defend themselves or hunt. But by the Bronze Age, craftsmen were making ornate daggers with intricate designs, like those found in ancient Mesopotamia or Egypt. They weren't just tools; they symbolized status, like the ceremonial daggers buried with pharaohs.

Fast forward to medieval Europe, and daggers became a knight's backup weapon, the 'rondel' style piercing armor gaps. What blows my mind is how they evolved into Renaissance-era masterpieces—jeweled hilts, engraved blades—worn as fashion statements by nobles. Even today, tactical daggers are used by militaries, proving this weapon never really went out of style. It's wild to think how something so simple stuck around for millennia, adapting to every era's needs.
