Young Mom Novels & Stories

Mitchells said pointing at the woman who was cleaning one of the tables. "Mom!" I was startled when Zoey shouted and ran to her. I was happy and jealous at the same time. I'm looking forward to the day that my own child will call me mom and run to me smiling like Zoey. Her mom saw Zoey, she was surprised and started crying. She opened her arms and Zoey jumped at her, hugging her tight. Her mom looks like her, with brown curly hair and hazelnut eyes. One thing I noticed was that she was a bit old to be her mom. I think she's the same age as Doctor Richards. But maybe she got pregnant at a later age.

he muttered as he bounced his head, a frown playing between his eyebrows. He looked visibly angry, but as I was about to sidestep him, my aunt appeared. She was the reason I rushed back home. She must have been worried since I hadn't shown up for almost three days. I tried to look composed as she walked into the living room. Aunt Hannah had been my only family member since the death of my parents. Being my mom's older sister, I saw my mother in her sometimes, and it was all the comfort I needed. "Welcome. Where have you been?" she asked, her gaze watching me from top to bottom and back up again.

On her white socks, and covered feet were black Jane shoes, and her long hair was held in a neat ponytail. She pulled at her daughter, heading for the door. “Bye Mom”, she said to her pretty fifty-year-old mother who was sitting at the table munching a cookie. “Bye Grandma”, Brielle’s little voice said. “Bye, my babies”. Mayeli unlocked her car door, carefully placing Bryelle in the child's car seat before heading for the driver's seat. Her mind was occupied with the words her mother had spoken two years ago when she informed her of her pregnancy.

I asked. “ I can’t get much past you, can I?” dad asked. I shook my head and continued eating. He told me that this woman is younger than him and a single mom of five year old. I noticed he tensed when he said younger. “ How much younger are we talking?” I asked. I don’t think I can handle him dating a twenty year old. It would be gross to me. “ She is thirty five.” dad told me.

My jaw drops after he says those words to a lady who looks like she's in her 40s. Mom?! She's too young to be Mom!

“I’m ready when you are.” I chuckled and smiled to myself when she sent the grimace emoji and said she needed at least twenty more minutes. I decided to go check on the kids, finding them in the backyard running wild as my mom sat at the table out there watching them closely. She was an older woman but she still possessed incredible strength. Her wolf was strong in her and anyone near could smell it clearly now. She turned and looked at me then stood, walking over with a huge smile on her face. “You look terrific, son.”

She had purchased it the previous day among the ‘card-is-unlimited items we do not need. I wiped the water from my face, barely able to keep up with the bizarre scene. “Mother, where is your dignity?” I asked. She paused, giving me a quizzical look. “Dignity? Oh, sweetie, I don’t have dignity. I’m just a fun mom, and I’m just thirty-four!” “You’re insane,” I muttered, still trying to shake the water from my hair. “Yep. This is Fun Mum!” She grabbed my arm and yanked me out of bed, ignoring my protests. “Come on, let’s do something fun. We’re having a barbecue today, and you’re going to help me with the grilling.”

HUDSON’S POV “Mommy!!” they jumped on her all at once, her smiling face capturing my entire attention as I watched her leaned down to their level. Taking each kid in her arms and hugging tight as I they each threw themselves on her. “Mommy, you’re home!” “Mommy is home…” Miley cried shamelessly; her lips pushed to a big pout as she held on tightly to Val’s neck. “My mommy…”

"Ms. York, can you teach my mommy? Then she can make cookies that taste just as yummy as yours!" Those bright, trusting eyes were filled with nothing but reliance on Yasmin. That one sweet, innocent "Mommy" pierced me like a thousand tiny needles.

“Mommy, can you come pick me up early from school today? I miss you.” After replying to her, I put my phone back into my coat pocket and let out a relieved smile. My life was finally back on track. [The end.]
